What specific companies related to 'energy' are they holding the debt for. I see only one , which is a pipe manufacturer. I saw none for energy and gas extraction. Their pie chart is pretty small so I may have missed something. Thanks.
You might be surprised to LEARN that NADL debt is guaranteed by SDRL, which owns approx 70% of the company.. What joy does it give you to post foolish comments ?
Go to the Seeking Alpha website for informed comments and articles. Many people here mistake the Finance section for the celebrity section.
Would you kindly refrain from comments that no one believes. If you had that much invested in this company you would be so wealthy that you wouldn't be bothering with this message board. Appreciate rational comments as many of us are normal investors with a
holding in DFT that we take an interest in. The 11% or so drop in two days is not rational based on the report they issued.
I am long DFT and believe they have issued a very conservative 2015 forecast. I see no reason that NOTHING is going to happen to the tenant in default. Either that company will secure financing, sell the company, or perhaps sublease all or part of their DFT storage usage. It is unreasonable to think that DFT will go a whole year without some action taking place. I do not know how these leases are structured, but I am sure there is a clause that says bye-bye to the tenant after non-payment of rent for a specific period of time. If the tenant cannot pay for their computer requirements, they can hardly remain in business. The tenant did not mention that point. I do not know who the company is or what sector they are in, but DFT was very quiet about them, other than mentioning the data. Another possibility is that DFT takes an equity or debt position in the company in lieu of rental monies and then sells it to a third party. Under the circumstances they should be able to get a very decent entry price point, or a high interest rate. There are a number of events that might happen to change the current circumstances. Obviously DFT is being 'gentlemanly" about the situation so as not to rock the boat, but I expect something will occur that will move the shares back up. Just my opinions.
NADL reports every 3 months, with Feb the next date. Expect clarification in May.
NADl and Rosneft AGREED to delay the matter until May 15. They have no obligation to report anything before that date. Note that Reuters reports Rosneft will not drill in the Kara Sea in 2015, but that does not mean the "agreement" cannot be finalized . I hope YOU are correct, but I doubt it. I have no holdings in either company.
How about doing a little research before writing invalid information. Any INFORMED investor is aware that NADL bonds and other debt is now guaranteed by Seadrill, the company that owns 70% of NADL.
Excellent. Now its a Penny Stock. That is no reason to be interested. Do you work for the publication or just get paid to tout it.
What do you know. Foreigners can lie as well as so-called Americans. We ought to be used to this experience.
You are correct, as I am one of those investors, but the intent is to spin-off the non-residential at some point. I got upset when they varied from their initial goal and sold. Made no sense to me at the time.
They are restricted to a capped % of non-residential holdings, which i believe is 20%,
but I have not reviewed the site for some time.
The company meeting on Nov 26 should clarify the situation with the West Navigator; other than that, the next rig to be contracted is still being built and is available in August 2015. Until then the company is fully contracted, unless they advise otherwise during the meeting.
Only if they are able to lease the West Navigator rig by Jan 1, 2015 and two new rigs being built by July 2015,
will the guaranteed income be safe, or if the Rosneft arrangement is completed next May before the two new rigs are available. If you read all the material, you will note that China is buying into a Natural Gas project in Russia and if Rosneft wants to insure they get the NADl rigs they can use that money as funding, though they are two separate projects. Mr Putin and company are adamant about drilling on the Arctic shelf, so it is just a matter of which company they can reach a deal with, and few have the equipment and expertise to drill in that Harsh Environment. There is a SDRL/NADL meeting on Nov 26 that you can listen to on the NADL website, via Investor Relations. The price will probably be so low that Mr Fredricksen will be buying a zillion more shares.Just a guess on my part but I will go see what the book value is.
