Ahhhh, thanks so much for the explanation. That's such an interesting problem. It would sure be great if our team figured out the solution. I really appreciate you taking time to answer that.
It always cracks me up when a person gets thumbs down on an innocuous post like a thank you. What kind of simpleton's find that worth a rebuke? Well, it takes all kinds....I wish IT would take THEM! LOL
I agree, duck...it was a great group and this one seems equally astute. I feel lucky to have found the stock and its followers. I actually invested in a number of different bios with the intention of trying to find a group like we had. Over time, these folks clearly demonstrated superior knowledge and good heartedness so I winnowed away the others and have concentrated here. Good to see you again.
rezoom, thanks so much for your insight and delineation of details. It's great to get to hear from you and other knowledgeable people on this board. I'm always amazed by the catty comments from people who say, "You're doing your DD on a message board? Good luck with that", as if it's a dumb thing to do. In fact, many message board participants are both incredibly smart and imminently more qualified to discuss the pros and cons of a specific company than any stock analyst. I'm proud and thankful to rely on individuals like yourself. In the end, we're all just taking a calculated risk and it will be the technology that will win out or not. It's a great game!
Thanks, Ryan. So you're a Kansas boy! Me too. I was raised on a farm in Parsons and moved to Coffeyville at 16. Again, sorry to all the great NVAX folks for our departure.
More to the point of this board, do you notice how NVAX feels much like AVNR as they were ramping to be purchased (not implying a purchase is imminent or even likely, in fact, I would prefer otherwise)? This seems like an incredibly strong management team and their portfolio is impressive by any standard. It's very exciting to be part of this process.
I worry about boring folks with our OT conversations also. I just hope they will forgive us and know our associations go WAY back. The chef was great, prepared steak and some great side dishes. We played five different courses....all fun. The weather was little short of perfect; high 70s during the day and low 60s at night.
I hope you're enjoying the NVAX board as much as I am. I love the company and am finally invested in a technology that I think can make the world a much better and safer place.
Hello, my friend. You know, I can't remember if I've ever seen your first name, so I apologize for not addressing you more personally. I planted my tomatoes around April 15th and the plants look outstanding. However, we've had a rash of rain...3.5" on one day, so I'm surprised they haven't drown. I'll let you know if it turns out a good crop. Hope yours thrive also. Kelly
Hi Rob.....absolutely stellar to see you posting here....if felt like old times. This is a very astute board with a bunch of really bright, capable posters. I really appreciated seeing redplate's response and the education it brought with it. I'm more excited about NVAX than I was about AVNR and you know how thrilled I was with them. Lots of fun things in the near future.
We went to the brother's golf outing in Bella Vista....stayed in an 8,000 sq ft. house on a lake. It was unbelievable. Had a great time.
Yup, I noticed that too....very strong statements for a CC. If only half of the news is good in the third quarter we should be looking awesome.
Excellent points, rezoom. I wonder how the 'thumbs down' people counter your specific arguments. I'm sure it sets their little heads spinning.
bball, thanks for all your input and insight. I agree completely about performance dictating price. I'm always amazed how some folks get their panties in a wad over short term moves one way or the other. ALL THAT MATTERS IS PERFORMANCE. You're betting on whether the science and technology prove out....it's a horse race and right now we're at the top of the turn and leading by a length and a half (arbitrary placing).
With all due respect, omcc....that reply does a huge injustice to your friends on this board. A message board is actually a very smart way to do research. This board has some of the most knowledgeable, capable and insightful participants one could hope to cross paths with. Granted, there's some really bad information too, but this can be a great starting point to gain perspective and then, through your own efforts, decide if what you are reading strikes a cord within your own standards of stock ownership.
Who is more likely to know the most subtle issues of a company than someone who has a vested interest in the outcome? And I'm not saying you can buy just anything you read, but you can sure have a leg up on understanding the nature, potential and management of a company through comments you read right here.
I too would question someone spending $60,000 on a stock he/she knows little about...but I don't know the circumstances....maybe that amount of money just doesn't amount to much in their total picture....pocket change as they say. Just my humble opinion....no criticism intended.
I agree completely, Ryan. But maybe we should look at it in a different way. If they exert such great effort to coopt your name they obviously find you both extremely intelligent and remarkably adept. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then maybe it makes sense to be honored by their obvious jealousy over your mastery of their pathetic lives. Actually, it proves they are sad little losers, but let's put a positive spin on it. The rest of us think your awesome.
You are HARDLY the opposition. It's like matching wits with a witless wonder. You don't have a single productive idea....just rants, lies and deception.
LOL. Simpletons are always so inane and you prove it with every post. It's sad that any board has to deal with dull creatures like you.
I'm not responding to a name but an idea. And who said I 'hated' anyone and any ideology? Hatred destroys the hater, which I'm guessing your struggle with most of the time. You're a strange little dude, now aren't you?
Now you see, garrd, that diatribe is why reasonable people cannot have an intelligent discussion. "ALL" part time jobs is, on its face, inaccurate. And there is not a single educated person who would support the contention that the proposed pipeline would create 350,000 jobs...the notion is preposterous.
Your ignorance is manifest when you propose that you 'fear' a gay person. How ignorant does a person have to be to make that kind of statement? You must be a very sad little creature, totally lacking in common sense or decency.
