Could it be that the continued delay favors Siga? He was pushing so hard to finalize the arguments just seems that he would have made a decision by now. seems like Groundhog day, just hope I live long enough to see this thing settled.
Homebuilder, From a positive standpoint, the stock is locked between three and three fifty due to the court case. On the last Conference Call Rose stated that the company had enough compounds , were downsizing, has already reduced some employees and looking for a partner for Dengue now, They have a new member of the board from Pfizer, they analyst asking questions asked if about the connection and of course Rose could not answer that question if the deal was not comjpleted. He or the Financial officer did state that some parts would be completed by the end of the year and some early in 2014. Rose is to smart to bring all of that info to surface especially downsizing unless he had almost a guarantee from some big company. If this call today provides a partner or is very positive then this stock could move regardless the the court case. You can go to the Siga site and replay the call, golong and his bunch has an agenda for not telling you this info.
Hey Alibi, I think the bashers want the court and parsons or Rose to be the topic of discussion, but on the last conference call, Rose stated that they were downsizing, were not looking for any new compounds and were looking for a partner for the Dengue Drug. Siga recently put on a board member from Pfizer. Rose stated that some changes would be completed by the end of 2013 and the others in 2014 early, therefore I believe that they will make a big announcement on the 10th. ST246 is small compared to Dengue. The analyst asking questions also believed this was big.
Drod, do you own any Siga stock, I cant imagine anyone who lives on this message board and bashes Siga as you do on every post could own any stock. I would not suggest that you be short on the 10th.
I have owned Siga since before the lawsuit. I have never liked Rose and I think most inverstors feel the same but Ron Perlman apparently does. Rose stated that they were downsizing and finding a partner for Dengue. This conference call around March 10 should be very interesting.
golong, pretty cup is amnl lover in disguise, just thought you should know. Also she has other IDs, doofus dummy, and others, I believe beavertailspash is another. I don't know how long you have been on here, but this board is nuts galore.
Excerpt from Daniel Luckshire, financial officer at beginning of conference call. Pretty clear that the company has discontinued their early stage programs and moving on to partner. Luckshire also said these processes had already commenced.
At the heart of the optimization program is a commitment to match the company's resources, staff and efforts with near- and long-term opportunities. One element of the optimization program will be a reduction in the workforce. Other elements of the program include the discontinuation of our early-stage drug discovery operations and our decision to seek a partner or partners for the further development of our dengue lead candidate and other preclinical antiviral candidates. We believe such decisions are warranted in order to support efficiently the Arestvyr business and to provide the necessary financial strength and strategic focus to pursue the best growth prospects
When I started this tread I said forget ST246 and the PIP lawsuit, guess I should have added forget the hate Rose also. This is an excerpt from the last conference call between Rose and and analyst Joaquin Philip Horton
Okay. So next question is regarding dengue fever. I assume I heard right that you were going to try to find a partner to continue developing the small molecule that you have for dengue fever, correct?
Eric A. Rose - Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Member of National Biodefense Science Board
That's correct. The entire program, not just the lead drug candidate, yes
This is an article that G Hudson with Seeking Alfa wrote on Nov 12 2013, I know he is a pumper for Siga but everything is this article is accurate. I
On the last Conference Call Rose talked like he had a sweet secret that he wanted to share but could not, he talked about denge, about downsizing, even the analyst believed something big was about to happen.
Forget about St246 and PIP-If Siga has a partner and the Analyst believe that they do, and most likely Pfister, this stock could skyrocket with the small number of shares outstanding and the large number of shorts that would have to cover.
don't think they will discuss the hearings but I agree that this should be a big report, don't forget the downsizing and partnering . Rose stated that changes would be made by end of 2013 and finalized in 1st qtr. Not sure it was stated exactly that way but the next 90 days should be interesting.
