Should enhance all shareholder value UNLESS, officers want to keep lining their pockets and holding this from fair value of $27 per share. If it represents a good value for the company to purchase, then you would think it is equally a good value for insiders to purchase as well. Getting tired of the insider sellers, you just had a great QTR people, its time to show the love to your regular investors that want to continue to believe in management............

Also interested to hear what comps. reflect with added help from the port shutdown. We know of the substantial comps. with fuel from press releases, hopefully this fills and we witness either buybacks or insider buys, with evidence that officers like it right here too. The low P.E. only makes it right for accumulation when compared to the other airlines with far more exposure.

Over time, it will gradually go back up. Sound business model with lower overall cost of operation and more efficient, freshly designed jets catering to the leisure market. These things all run in cycles and it will make you nuts if you can't enjoy life off of the computer screen......hang in there

It will be interesting with 2014 comps and todays info filed, if we get a good tail wind. Looks favorable particularly with last years comps reflecting cost per gal. about .80 higher.......

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Adding $5.00 additional to bag fees... will they blink or others follow? Do they have capacity and how do they compare with HA and others to be able to do this????

If fuel prices remain low with load capacity near tops, it could be just a matter of time for a possible acquisition. Right now, most are capitalizing by acquiring more efficient jets and more economical seating with new interiors. Within another several years when those changes have been made, I wouldn't be surprised to see a potential suitor or merger to further strengthen their position and profitability. Fuel efficiency, crude price and available seats remain the wild cards.

    Spring Break

Just spent the last week looking at airfares from Chicago for April 7 with return from West Palm on the 11th. They are getting an average of $485.00 coming back plus luggage and $98 going out. Much higher from Regional airports exceeding $750 one way. US Air and American is the same flight, the demand, by fed up snowbound for Spring Break warmth is through the charts and pricing power appears to favor airlines, especially for leisure travel. Looking forward to next report for HA and a favorable uptick by tourists

Suitor didn't get marriage tonight, it feels like other successful cancer prospects will be high on the list to be acquired from what we have seen already in 2015. Riding the wave of accumulation and burn of the shorts

Not sure about Hawaiian market, but do know airlines are really sticking it to travelers in Florida market with available seats tight and preferred routes and times at a surcharge along with baggage.
Would love to hear from within to also here how much air freight has jumped due to Port strikes out of Asia and Mainland

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

I have to imagine that HA is benefiting with significantly lower fuel prices and larger freight volumes with West coast port closures. The closures are said to take months to catch up. The comps should destroy last years numbers, hopefully ridership also increases as outlook favors Spring Break traffic. With a terrible winter throughout the mainland, Hawaii should look especially appealing to those seeking relief from the cold......

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Believe we are seeing a good base overall. Also believe management is getting paid with too many options. Over and and considering, it has help up pretty well to their inconsiderate timing......

I would imagine with increasing business travel, tourism during Winter and upcoming Spring Break, 1ST Qtr should blow by last years comps. Lower fuel prices and increased freight demand can only help, perhaps they can pick up some of that lost Port business and increase deliveries to Asia and the mainland!
Now if someone would tell insiders its all right to BUY Shares with all those profits from selling.
    Guys, enough is enough......

    Sentiment: Buy

Just read many large companies facing large currency losses in Venezuela like Clorox and Kimberly Clark. Normally pretty safe, surprise. So where are you going to park your money???? Hawaiian Air was smart to leave some hedges in place and when all said and done, will look like one of the best options to invest going forward.

Your posts are what is lame. You either got burned on margin or are a short with motives. By your post, I don't think you are one to cast stones or particularly adept to discuss leadership skills.

Sounds like some believe Asia is only customer base and that they are throwing all of the gas surcharge out the window.......way over done on this, will shake out within several days as the hangover recedes

I would expect they have currency issues with vacationers from Europe and Asia staying home due to higher costs. Do they normally travel to Russia or other highly impacted countries?
