==PanOptica plans to develop PAN-90806 through Phase 2 studies, and then seek a biopharmaceutical partner to complete development, regulatory approval, and commercialization of the compound.==
Just a trade billwilliams. I read about the LPTN upgrade and was shocked that it didn't gap at the open. It's a different biotech market, eh? I'm expecting news soon that may give it a pop.
Pfizer is LPTN's partner on iSONEP but back in Oct'13 Pfizer informed LPTN they were putting their option on iSONEP up for sale as part of a strategic plan to de-emphasize ophthalmology. At Roth Conf in March LPTN's well paid and self ingratiating CEO bragged up how multiple parties were bidding on the iSONEP option. In fact the LPTN tried to buy the option back but their offer to Pfizer 'wasn't even a close second' to the leading bid. LPTN CEO said Pfizer supposed to announce who the buyer is by the end of April.
For the near term I see little downside and room for a point or two on the upside if a marque names buys the iSONEP option.
Funny enough, certain parties on this board are distraught because squalamine is a month behind finishing PhII enrollment. For iSONEP PhII trial, LPTN is now a year behind and counting in their attempts to complete enrollment. And iSONEP is targeting the most desperate wet AMD patients, those failing VEGF therapy. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Canaccord initiated iSONEP maker LPTN premarket with a $17 target.
Not having a whole lot of effect.
My lowball buy bid got hit for 500 shares at $4.32, would have liked more, but you get what you get.
Worth a flyer at that price..............
The smart #$%$ question was for richmando. I'm trying to figure out what his point is. Nobody has been '#$%$igned' anything here.
Covered calls, yeah it was a fluke. If you see my old post the stock was trading $13.50+ and I put in a low ball bid for 1000 OHRP $12.56. Walked away from the screen and it got hit in the first slide. The Jul $17.5 Call bid didn't drop so I sold 10 contracts @ 3.80. I'm break even down to about $8.76. If called at $17.50 I make 8.74/sh. In light of the secondary, it's not looking as sweet as it did on trade day. Just using it as a learning experience. Hopefully not too costly.
Take a break, nothing of significance going to be happening here for at least a few weeks. Spend some more time with your son, he'll be heading off to college before you know it.
I'd like to have a discussion with the core group of posters who've been collaborating here over time. You/they know who they are. I doubt I have anything to say that will change anyones minds about anything, I'm just not interested in carrying water for glom-ons.
Do you have the Patient Bob and Dr. Katz screen shots?
Per the slides from the Feb Bio-CEO conf, the PhII trial enrollment of the second 60 patients was due to be complete by the end of 1Q14. . At the shareholder meeting on 3/31 I questioned Dr. T if enrollment was in fact complete as it was the last day of the qtr. Before he could answer Beckenroth chimed in that if there were any need to update trial timing we would see it in a press release. Now we see that Dr. Katz is no longer recruiting. Did he get blackballed, get tired of phone calls from shareholders, or is enrollment complete as was anticipated? Dr. Singerman's web site and ROPARD still shows them recruiting.
The website statement you show from Fleyedocs in February was up there still in early/mid March so the removal has been recent.
I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I would anticipate that there is a press release coming soon indicating that they've completed enrollment in the trial. No worthwhile CEO does a nasty below market secondary without having some good news in the bag to placate shareholders.
Maybe somebody with gumption wants to call Dr. Katz office.
Yeah, I'd been trying to get him to engage me on the science, he had no interest. I really don't think he as done any DD since Genaera era and I don't think he is very functional on any of the science. He's pretty decent on statistics, but relies heavily on the analysts when it comes to the science.
A while back I made a wise crack about all his posts about drinking and he blocked me!
Adam taking a new tack on OHRP/squalamine, he's hedging the idea that they could show efficacy. Now he's suggesting OHRP will not present data fully or honestly.
He doesn't like the Brean analyst who wrote the recent report on OHRP. Other than reading that report, I don't think the AF has has done any DD on OHRP or squalamine since 2008. And he has destroyed a lot of his own brain (and liver) cells via alcohol since then.
I've sent you the PDF of Patient Bob testimonial. Hope I didn't give the impression this is something new, it's the same page that was on fleyedocs web site back in November simultaneously with Dr. Katz comments.
I've redacted Bobs last name to respect his privacy. As I'd said, it took about three minutes to figure out he is 74yo and lives 6 miles from Dr. Katz clinic.
Thanks for the offer, I got the Dr Katz screenshot from someone a while back, I think it was from the person who made it. I hope everyone has saved a file of Louella. My photoshop comment was just a little sarcasm to go along with your current demeanor. You understandably appear to be skeptical of everyone and everything at present time.
Me, long and desperate? I don't think so. Like I said, I'm far more fortunate than most here, I'm long and riding house money. I'm quite at peace with my current modest long position, ready to ride it into interim results barring a bomb. The covered call trade is just an exercise.
Good to see you're not in the cloak room.
Milly, If it's a PDF screenshot of Patient Bob's testimonial with filename Clinical Trial Patient Success Story, it's my original being passed around by others. It was posted and removed from Fleyedocs web site simultaneously with the Dr. Katz quote page, which I unfortuantely didn't save prior to removal.
And for Doubting Thomas (Optimist_77) who will insist it was Photoshopped, I have the original HTML and associated files still, I had to convert it to a PDF screen shot to attach it to email. And yes, Bob is real, but how about everybody leaves the guy alone. Three minutes on Google will tell you he's 74 and lives about 6 miles from Dr. Katz Clinic?
We'll see how that covered call trade works out..... I'm safe down to $8.60, but I have months to watch it go bad. Just did it for the experience. Why didn't I just dump the shares for the $200 gain I had when I saw that it had executed?
I'm still kicking myself for not seeing this secondary coming. I got complacent when they didn't issue shares with the stock in the high teens. Heck I originally predicted they'd issue the secondary shares shortly after it was declared effective, so what do I know.
If nobody else is going to post it I will.....Hit edgar 10 min ago.
Looks like an open market purchase. I think that's why we just the blip.
She was at the shareholder meeting. Nice person.
Optimist perhaps you are the one who needs to take a walk over to the 781 Fifth Ave cloak room.
You can be as angry at yourself as you want, but I trade my plan. Some of us (Stuart, Phakosurgeon, myself, and others) have always spoken frankly about the risks versus potential in this stock.
I cut back on my posting as all of the hypsters took over the board and didn't want to discuss probable scenarios and facts, they just wanted cheerleading, including you and your $100 predictions! I could have posted more detailed information from the shareholder meeting, but why bother? Anything that could be perceived as cautious is met with scathing replies. Remember when Phakosurgeon got run off the board for talking conservatively?
This washout will end up being a good thing for the stock board.
By the way do you want to see my trade tickets?
