  • New job posting today. In Atlanta. Guessing this has to be Coca-Cola:

Do you enjoy working on the latest connected devices? Bsquare is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance engineer to help us test the newest versions of one of the industry's hottest soft drink dispensers. You will be part of a team responsible for creating and executing manual and automated tests, and will work hand in hand with developers, managment and the customers to ensure the quality of the final product.

  • BSQR's close relationship with Google hasn't even factored into the valuation. Yet. I noticed they now talk about Google on their homepage. It's the 3rd of 4 screens...and says Bsquare + Google = Innovation. Maybe it's been like that awhile but I don't remember it. Check it out. I'd post the link, but can't on Yahoo. Most of the info is below. Wonder at what point Google just acquires BSQR?

Bsquare Android Experts Collaborate with Google ATAP Group
Some of the most innovative software engineering in the industry is happening now within Google's Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) Group which includes Project Tango. Bsquare software engineers are right there contributing to these ground-breaking projects. This includes devices that contain customized hardware and software designed to track the full 3D motion of the device, while instantly creating a map of the environment. What if you could capture the dimensions of your home simply by walking around with your phone before you went furniture shopping? What if directions to a new location didn’t stop at the street address? What if you never again found yourself lost in a new building? What if the visually-impaired could navigate unassisted in unfamiliar indoor places? What if you could search for a product and see where the exact shelf is located in a super-store? These are just some of the amazing potential uses from smartphones and tablets developed by Project Tango.

    Bsquare Expertise & Contribution Includes
    •Professional development services
•Advanced modifications to the Android platform
Deep Camera and Sensor HAL Android development

Even more insider buying today. Wonder if there's something brewing. Don't recall ever seeing small, steady buys by CEO & President like this.

Don't forget about Google. BSQR is hiring like crazy, and about half of the job postings are in Mountain View, California...where Google is headquartered. BSQR is involved with Project Tango and will be working with Google on other 'advanced technology programs' this year. From the shareholder letter dated 5/4/15:

"In 2014 we partnered with Google to provide engineering services for Project Tango, their exciting new initiative giving mobile devices a human-scale understanding of space and motion."

"We have recently signed an agreement with Google to assist them with other advanced technology programs in 2015."

Nice! More Form 4's today too. Not a lot of shares, but good to see CEO & President both buying. Especially at quarter end. Guessing next earnings report should be at least decent.

  • Hiring boom at BSQR continues. Like the sound of the latest job posting yesterday. Looks like the company is expanding to the Northeast!

    Here's the position summary:

Come join Bsquare at a very exciting time as we seek to capitalize on our strong market position with embedded device OEM’s and Fortune 500 accounts. • Seems like lots of selling pressure lately. Large blocks on the ask. Nasdaq at all-time highs and CTIB near a 52-week low. I don't get it. Company has had a couple of nice quarters. They benefit from lower oil prices. Gross margins are up. Yet the stock price is much lower than it was a year ago when oil was $100 and earnings were a tiny fraction of what they are now. Weird. That news this month with Creative Converting also sounded encouraging. CTIB has an easy comp coming up, so maybe a favorable report will send this low floater back up to the $4-$5 range.

Nice post. The thing about BSQR is even after this move up, the stock is STILL quite undervalued. I mean if they crank out earnings of .10-.15/share for the next few quarters, times a P/E of 20, we're talking a stock price of $8-$12. A year from now I think we're talking .15-.20 quarters, and a stock price of $12-$16. And that's with a very modest P/E of 20. BSQR could trade at a P/E of 30, 40, or 50+ like other Nasdaq techs.

BSQR has plenty of other positives. Their cash horde is at $2.21/share and growing. Excluding cash, BSQR is trading a single digit forward P/E. And the company is hiring like crazy...growth should only accelerate. Google is one of their major customers...whom they're working with on Project Tango. We'll be hearing more about BSQR and Google later this year. Here's a quote from the shareholder letter dated 5/4/15:

"We have recently signed an agreement with Google to assist them with other advanced technology programs in 2015".

Obviously any small tech company in bed with Google has a certain amount of hype potential...and I think we've barely scratched the surface on that front.

Yeah we'll see. Hardly a guarantee. But I like the cost cutting story. Has been going on for several quarters and Q3 may be the first quarter to truly reflect it. Quote from the new CEO:

“Since the beginning of fiscal year 2014, we have developed and implemented a disciplined course of action to streamline operations and build foundational strength,” said E & E president and CEO Gerard A. Gallagher III. “We have critically reviewed indirect costs and moved toward a new operational staffing model that allows us the flexibility to be more responsive to client needs and project requirements. As reflected in our positive third quarter results, these initiatives, together with the focus and dedication of our employees, have positioned us well for improved financial performance, stability, and growth.”

Stock was over $20 a few years ago, so plenty of upside if they continue to post good numbers. When revenues start growing, they should report even bigger EPS. Tangible book value is $9.68. And they pay out a healthy 4.6% dividend yield. Both should help limit the downside.

Looks like a loss of (.15/share) in the year ago Q4. You can check the financials for the last 4 quarters right on Yahoo. Can also check SEC site for filings or company's homepage for past press releases.

They had a loss in the year ago Q4 so should have another very favorable earnings comp coming up. IF they can post another .40+ quarter, the stock should be trading at $15-$18. If not higher. With all the cost cutting, seems like it will at least be a huge improvement over last year. Like the risk/reward so I'll continue accumulating in the $10's. Attractive dividend yield too. If EEI continues cranking out .40-.50 quarters, they could boost the dividend even further.

Next quarter earnings will be higher as both the new acquisitions will be accretive. Only an idiot would be short this stock! Profitable company that's going to report some huge revenue & earnings growth in the coming quarters due to the acquisitions, with insiders buying and the stock at a multi-year lows. Plus you get a hefty 6.5% dividend yield on top of that. I don't get the short thesis at all?!? Plenty of expensive stocks to short out there. This definitely is not one of them. Not sure if he'll cover at $5. Or wait for $6+.

  • Fiscal Q3 earnings of .42/share (fully taxed!) vs. a loss last year. Seems like much more upside possible from the $10's. Stock trading just over tangible book value, and pays a decent dividend to boot.

Yeah quarterly results pretty decent and sounds like current quarter should be even better! CEO said the 2 latest acquisitions would be accretive to earnings in the current quarter. Hoping to see fiscal Q3 earnings of .06-.08/share vs. .04/share last year on a 50%+ jump in revenues. RFIL pays out a hefty 6.7% dividend yield. I feel like the stock will move up closer to $5 in the coming months.

  • Check today's filing. Only 20,400 shares so far. But a positive sign!

Yeah great sign! Don't think the CEO has ever bought shares like this before? Looking forward to the merger CC tomorrow morning. I'm guessing when VASO starts reporting 100% revenue increases thanks to the acquisition, and the stock jumps up to the .30's or .40's...the people on this board will wish they had bought more at .17 instead of constantly complaining.
