I think we'll see $4's after the Q2 report. Q1 will be a tough quarter because the winter weather was so brutal. Good news is they have an easy comp. So a large loss in the year ago Q1 will be replaced with a breakeven quarter (maybe they can even eke out a tiny profit).

Q2 could be an excellent quarter. I would think earnings of .05-.08/share. Plus whatever contribution from the new acquisition, which will give a much-needed boost to the top line right away...and also contribute nicely to the bottom line in a few quarters. Q2 numbers will look great vs. the loss last year, which should launch the stock back to $4+. In the meantime, we collect the fat 6% dividend.

It will def help the bottom line! Previously they were paying a "substantially" higher monthly rate for the equipment.

On March 31, 2014, PCA entered into four lease schedules (the “Schedules”) with Terex, and each Schedule has a term of 60 months. The total monthly lease payments under the Schedules amount to $107,673.77 (or $6,460,426.20 in the aggregate over the 60-month term). The equipment covered by these Schedules is presently rented by PCA and subsidiaries at an aggregate monthly rental substantially in excess of the lease payments required under the Schedules.

Did they say something on CC?

Hope you're right about Q1. I get the sense the problems at the Supply Chain division will linger while RFID & Mobile division will continue to grow. The good news is they have an easy Q1 comp as they had a loss last year on $5.93M in revenues. I'd be happy if Q1 was around breakeven.

I don't know who would sell this stock in the $4's. It spiked to $10+ on a .19 quarter. I think a good chance we see another .15+ quarter this year. Stock is a double from here if that's the case.

    Real Estate Division

Hey nice find!! Wonder how the current inventory compares to recent months? I didn't even know this segment was up & running again! This was a big contributor to GV profits before real estate went bust in 2007. With real estate prices surging again in many areas of the country, was wondering when GV might benefit. Maybe now!

Still expecting the growing electrical construction business to drive the company, but the real estate division could add to revenues & earnings this year. Hopefully we'll learn more in the Q1 report next month. I think the stock is a steal at $2.07.

Bring it on! Tired of wallowing in the low $2's. I still think GV is a fantastic hold into Q1 numbers next month. Unlike Q4, Q1 should be a nice comp with increases in revenue, earnings & backlog. Maybe weather will hurt them a bit, but I think the boost from the new acquisition will more than compensate.

Then we're set up for an eye popping Q2 comp with earnings of .10+/share vs. a loss last year. Will be shocked if GV doesn't see at least the $3's later this year. Maybe $4-$6 if it gets some momo from the sector boom. Could go even higher than that if they announce another CREZ size contract (only a matter of WHEN not if imo). No clue why anyone would give away their shares here. GV has tons of upside, minimal downside. Risk/reward sure looks exciting!

  • GV traded between $2.09-$2.14 all day. Closing price? $2.07 of course.

  • Stock seems to be rebounding a bit. I thought it got punished way too harshly after a decent Q4. Forgot the CC was this morning. Was only expecting a brief 5 minute recap of the Q4 results. But maybe they said something positive? Anyone listen?

  • hweb2 hweb2 Apr 14, 2014 2:36 PM Flag

Don't expect too much from the CC. Prob will last 5 minutes. Last time they just read the PR and there were no questions.

Did anyone scan the filing yet? Curious to get some comments on those shares issued on 12/31/13. Without those, looks like BOSC may have earned over .20/share in Q4!?! I think most of those shares are issued once a year at the end of the year. I think that's why G&A expense jumped up in Q4 over Q3 (these guys are strict on costs). So could see a sharp decrease in G&A expense in Q1. I don't think revenues will be as high in Q1 (Q4 was a nice surprise on the revenue front), but could see higher earnings. Something around .10 and this low floater spikes up to $6-$8 imo.

Well not so clear today. Large seller camped out on ask. I've bought a few times today. He's got lots of shares. Wonder what's up? Who sells a stock with a 6%+ dividend? Didn't think we'd see $3.20's again after the recent acquisition. It will give a nice boost to top & bottom lines.

How much downside can there be with that huge dividend? I would think most investors would love a 6% divvie in this shaky market. Plus a good chance DRAD jumps back up to the $4's this summer after Q2 report.

    Solid earnings report!

Revenues were excellent! I thought RFID & Mobile revenues up 40% might move BOSC higher all by itself. Have seen plenty of other mobile stocks fly on good growth and huge losses. BOSC actually has a Q4 profit vs. a loss last year (excluding the tax benefit last year).

And did anyone read the filings? BOSC issued a bunch of shares on 12/31/13. Looks like they have to do that every year. But the stock had more than doubled to $7 and they issued nearly 40,000 shares. Might be why the big jump in G&A from Q3 to Q4. If not for those shares, Q4 earnings look like they would have been MUCH higher. Maybe over .20/share!?

  • Can't post the link but check the Globalscape website. Looks like the company is hiring like crazy! Someone here has probably been keeping tabs on this. So how does the current number of job openings compare to a few weeks/months ago?

  • How many listed stocks in the low $2's have the potential to post .10+ earnings quarters in 2014??? If someone can find ONE other besides GV, I'd be surprised. I'm buying daily. If market stabilizes, I think we'll see GV shoot up to $2.50 soon. Then jump to $3 or higher after Q1 report next month.

Nice news! Looking forward to seeing how much the "substantial" savings turns out to be. Might add another .01 to quarterly earnings.

Just goes to show how you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. The writing is clearly on the wall here that GV will be priced much higher in the months ahead. I think the favorable Q1 comp will be the catalyst. Looks like the stock might hang around here til then, and I'll gladly continue to accumulate these cheap shares.

Interesting that Eberwein bought a TON of shares in mid-late 2012 from $1.40's to low $2's. CEO also bought 50,000 shares last August at $1.71. Yet insiders didn't sell one single share when GV ran up over $5 last year. Why is that? Maybe because they know this company is still in the early stages of a sector boom that will last for many, many years.

What are you guys smoking!?! Do you not understand they earned .08+/share in Q4 with a normal tax rate and excluding the charge? Do you not understand the new acquisition boosts the top & bottom line starting in Q1? Do you not understand the sector is on fire and that GV backlog rose $14.4M sequentially in Q4?

A company on a national exchange that should earn .40+/share this year deserves a P/E below 4??? Trading at 2X cash? Wow what stocks are you looking at that trade so cheaply? Please list them! You're going to be way off on your call. Backlog jumped $14.4M in Q4 and will continue to ramp up. GV is in a sector that's seeing incredibly strong demand. The comps will get much easier this year. New acquisition will add to top & bottom lines starting in Q1. This stock won't drop below $2. The only reason it was down today is because the Nasdaq is taking such a beating this week. I'm happily buying. The momo crowd will love GV later this year at $5.

ARCI is an ok company. Have followed them for many years and owned it a few times. Q4 wasn't that great when you back out the tax benefit and carbon offset credit. As announced in the Q3 earnings PR, a large utility also accelerated recycling revenue into Q3 & Q4 that would have been recognized in 2014. Their retail segment is struggling. They'll have more carbon offset credits this year, but the recycling division has lumpy profits. Plus comps will get tougher. On the other hand, GV has comps that get easier in 2014. I'm MUCH more confident in GV earnings this year than ARCI. Plus ARCI is already at $3 while GV is only $2.25.

Exactly right. If anyone knows of any other listed stocks trading at $2.25 that will be posting quarterly earnings of .10-.15/share thru 2014, please post them!

Yeah the 2013 earnings included a lot of charges. And 2012 earnings were lightly taxed. We should see fully taxed earnings of .40-.50/share in 2014. Will make for some great comps in Q1, Q2, Q3 & Q4. The rest of the world will take notice of GV when they report Q1 increases in earnings, revenues & backlog in May. My guess is we see $3+ when GV reports Q1 earnings around .10/share vs. .07/share last year. Those of us here early should take advantage of these cheap prices. I know I am.

    2014 estimates?

    by snds10 Mar 27, 2014 3:31 PM
    hweb2 hweb2 Mar 27, 2014 4:18 PM Flag

There was no STEC contract in Q4. The Q4 results will not only be sustained, but we'll see increases from there. Q4 earnings were .08+/share excluding the $933K charge and with a normal 40% tax rate. Backlog will continue to ramp higher. Their sector is on fire. They'll continue to get significant short-term contracts during the quarter. The acquisition will give a quarterly boost to revenues of nearly $4M on the top line and .01-.02/share on the bottom line starting in Q1. If GV can keep those unusual costs in check, this stock is an easy 50-100% gainer over the next few months.
