    Question

Yeah it's because they acquired Comnet. The acquisition boosted the top line, but not much contribution to the bottom line yet. Hopefully fiscal Q2 results next month will be better. Eventually RFIL will get its act together, tho it may take a few quarters. Get paid a juicy 7.1% dividend yield while you wait. I think the stock is an attractive buy below $4.

Yeah this is actually bad for GV. They blamed the extraordinary rain in Texas as part of the reason for the Q1 loss. Well the rain here in Texas has been much worse in April & May than it was during Q1.

Normally I push for a dividend. If nothing else, it's usually good for a 1 day pop on the stock. But look at all the job openings on BSQR's website. This company is growing! So I say use the cash to invest in the business.

  • hweb2 hweb2 May 26, 2015 12:52 PM Flag

That explains the strength today. Glad the author talked about the main negative. Which is that on the CC, they cautioned that high margin proprietary software revenue was unusually high in the quarter. How much will it drop back? Who knows. Guessing around $1M per quarter more sustainable. Hopefully a little higher. Author of the article shouldn't use Q4 operating margins either, as that quarter benefited from the completion of a project in Japan which goosed margins.

I'd be happy with Q2 earnings of .10-.12/share vs. .06/share last year. Still think stock is undervalued on a fundamental basis with their large cash position. Company is hiring like crazy and appears to have a growing relationship with Google. Company is off the radar as there's no analysts covering it yet. BSQR keeps hitting new 52-week highs, so the momo crowd should continue to drive it higher. As long as the broader market holds up...today's selloff the start of an overdue correction?

  • That's why the stock just spiked up. Looks like the CEO bought 85,000 shares this week. Good to see. Altho he bought 200,000 shares last December at $2.17 so who knows.

Yeah a weird dude. First he claimed to be short even tho AEY is one of the cheaper stocks you'll find on Nasdaq. Now he's long & desperately pumping it like he needs it to go $2.40 so he can pay his rent. There are MUCH better stocks to trade than boring old AEY...you know stocks that actually have volume & move around a lot.

You beat me to it! :) Another good sign for BSQR. Also liking the stock action. Closed at a new 52-week high today. That could bring in even more buyers. Of course it also doesn't hurt when the stock market goes up every day. Ha!

Yeah I'm with you on the increased IR/PR. If they had put out a press release with the excellent Q1 results this month, stock would likely be trading closer to $2.

Surprised by the selling volume today. I gladly added some more shares. Not sure who would sell in the $1.20's after that surprisingly strong 10Q this month. Q1 earnings of .06/share vs. .04/share last year. Q1 revenues up 27%. Great balance sheet with over .50/share in cash. Stock could DOUBLE from here and still be undervalued. Wish I knew what the sellers were buying that looks cheaper than SLGD!

Boy you sure were right on the pump & dump. Sold some over $4. Wish I'd sold them all. CTIB has decent fundamentals, so might be a buy if whoever bought yesterday starts panic selling.

Yeah nice close today. I can't imagine anyone would be short this stock. At least I hope not. One of the best values on the entire Nasdaq. Great numbers last quarter with earnings of .15/share. Sitting on $2.20/share in cash. A trailing P/E of 20, plus the cash, puts BSQR at $10. Forward P/E of 20 and we're closer to $15. Still so cheap in the $5's. And the $6's.

  • Today's volume is the highest in YEARS! Maybe some good news leaked out?

  • Check the website. Both in Mountain View, California...the headquarters of Google. Wonder at what point does Google just buy BSQR? They better act fast, while they still might be able to get it for less than $10/share.

Ha! I grant you RFIL earnings last quarter weren't too hot. But the stock has a 7% dividend yield. 7%! The company will continue to post small profits and pay out a big dividend. You really think there's that much downside?? Because there isn't. With all the overvalued stocks out there, you're crazy to be short this one. Eventually business conditions will improve and RFIL will start posting impressive EPS again. Stock will zoom up to $5, $6, $7, etc. Maybe a year away, but it will happen. CEO and other insiders were buying in March. Maybe business is already starting to get better?

  • Received my Annual Report from BSQR over the weekend. One of the more interesting comments had to do with Google. This is what the CEO said in the shareholder letter dated 5/4/15:

"In 2014 we partnered with Google to provide engineering services for Project Tango, their exciting new initiative giving mobile devices a human-scale understanding of space and motion. We have recently signed an agreement with Google to assist them with other advanced technology programs in 2015."

Hmmmm wonder what these "other advanced technology programs" are? I'm guessing that has something to do with BSQR wanting to hire 2 workers in Mountain View, California...the location of Google headquarters. Future sure looks bright for BSQR. Great earnings, strong balance sheet, hiring like crazy, and plenty of hype potential being in bed with Google.

Haha PLEASE find me another Nasdaq tech company in the $5's that just reported a fantastic quarter with earnings of .15/share, and is sitting on $2.20/share in cash. Hard to find a stock under $10 with numbers like this!

No the proprietary software segment likely won't continue its sequential growth. They even cautioned on the CC that this was very strong quarter for that segment and not to expect that much revenues from proprietary software every quarter, or margins as high as 93%. So it will be lumpy.

The good news is that Q1 is seasonally their weakest quarter. So revenues at the other 2 segments should rise from here. And on the CC, they said gross margins at Engineering Services should rise from 17% to the low-mid 20% range for the rest of the year. As for proprietary software, I'm guessing that should continue at maybe $1M-$1.5M for the rest of the year. They did offer these positive comments in the earnings PR about continued MobileV orders as well as initial DataV sales, both of which will contribute to proprietary software revenue:

"Regarding new product initiatives, our team won an order for MobileV in the quarter and we expect additional wins during the remainder of the year. We also continue to expect revenue for DataV products and services in 2015, building on the decades of experience we have with smart, connected systems."

I really like this management team. They weren't patting themselves on the back during the CC. Very matter of fact. They just execute. They underpromise & overdeliver. These guys are ultra conservative too. Q1 revenues came in well above their own estimate. As did profits. They said they should post a small GAAP profit in Q1. Then they came in with .15/share! I'm guessing Q2 revenues will come in at the high end of the $25M-$28M range, and they could even exceed that.

Earnings the last 4 quarters have been .06, .06, .12, .15. Trailing earnings now up to .39/share. With a trailing P/E of 20, plus the $2.20/share in cash, we have a $10 stock. And many Nasdaq tech companies trade at forward P/E's of 30-50 or more based on non-GAAP numbers. BSQR reports GAAP earnings. Only 1 question on the CC...this company is not known...yet.

  • That makes 3 just this week. And over 11 in April & May. There weren't nearly this many job openings in Q1, and we know they had an excellent quarter. Now they're on a hiring boom. What does that tell you about this company's expected growth in Q2 and beyond. Buckle up folks!

At least he was smart enough to cover. You don't want to be short this rocket over the weekend. BSQR still so cheap. Last 4 quarters they've reported earnings of .06, .06, .12, .15. See a trend here? That's TRAILING earnings of .39/share. Plus they have $2.20/share in cash on the balance sheet. Stock is a screaming buy in the $5's. BSQR is on its way to earning at least .50-.60/share this year, up from .20/share last year. With a P/E of 20, this should be trading at $10-$12. With a P/E of 30, this should be trading at $15-$18. Today's monster volume and new 52-week high will help get BSQR noticed. Should gap higher and run to the $6's on Monday.

Can't provide a link or I would. Yahoo won't allow it. Go to sec website or similar site where you get your Form 4 filings and you'll see it. 2K isn't much. But I'm hoping it's the first of many purchases.

  • I love a good short as much as the next person. And there's thousands of overvalued stocks out there. So to short one of the cheapest stocks on Nasdaq is just plain crazy. Yeah it's up 40% today. That doesn't mean it's a short. Not when it's up FOR GOOD REASON. Anyone experienced in shorting knows this!

BSQR just reported blowout earnings and gave bullish guidance for Q2. Some of the best numbers I've seen...and it's their seasonally weakest quarter! Absolutely crushed their estimates. Q1 earnings of .15/share vs. a loss last year, Q1 revenues up 16%, and an awesome balance sheet with $2.20/share in cash.

And this company is just getting started. Look at the hiring boom on their website. And that has only begun after Q1 ended! Google is one of their largest customers. Wait til they sign more deals with their MobileV and DataV software products. It's almost pure profit for BSQR. A P/E of 20, plus their large cash position, and this stock is at $15. And that is still somewhat undervalued!

Anyone short here is about to learn a painful lesson. Have fun covering when the stock is up ANOTHER 40% next week!
