no doubt Jad , good to hear from you ... the underscore here, is that a load of capital is being
deployed for the next generation of internet and you name it for ar / vr ..
as i have maintained , this pie will be so large , that 1/100 of 1% will be a nice chunka change ..
I sure would like it if Emagin or whoever they partner with would quickly start a program to
put the Ehmd into stores for demos ... that way , there will be a high level of angst and a willingness
to pony up big bucks for the early stuff .. garce
very interesting ... main topic was big increase in orders for Applied Mats for the unique tooling required ..
problems are that it takes 3 quarters to build a unit ..... buzz is about Appl going to new OLED screens next
year and that OLED represents a long term product , rather than an incremental step .. .
they could not iterate enough how difficult it is to build OLED screens ................................ garce
as posted on Acy's blog ...............
The float on EMAN is relatively small for a NYSE listed company, so don't be surprised if we see some nice intraday moves during today's session.
............. I won't be surprised to find out that somebody from icontract made a buy today .............
i was referring to that nice pop out of the chute this morning ... we normally don't see that action and
i was positing that maybe something was said at SID yesterday that piqued some interest ... garce
yup .. she's a typical drama queen ...
i have to laugh , every time i hear something about Trump and women (who will not support him) ...
but nobody mentions the obvious thing about Hillary ...
* about 50% of the electorate are men
* a signifigant # of those men .. 1) are married or have been married ... most of them have to put up
with a woman's carping , whining , manipulation and such .... WHY WOULD THEY CAST VOTES FOR
i've had it with the pro union group .. just look at the auto industry and see how unions
have wreaked havoc on great companies .. .
expect more of the same ... the hedgies see an opportunity here .. in the long run , VZ is a terrific investment ,
but there are a few clouds now and these downgrades can take a few points off the pps and the big
guys can load up ..
sounds like these analysts are not much different than teenage airheaded girls , trying to determine who
the top heart throb is ....... eh ? lol .. garce
and what about the concessions the republicans had to make for Clinton's signature on NAFTA ..
one thing B Clinton is not is stupid .. he knew that the lever would serve him and Democrats
well ... g
what she will need to do , is create another cabinet position and put Bill in as sec'y .... something like
the Dept of Gold Diggers ...
for many years , it was custom for cities to have horse manure all over the place , dumps did not exist
and everything was thrown into streams and rivers .. that changed and so have a lot of other cultural
that will give them a big , one time charge for 2016 and reduce tax burden ...
if IBM , or any other company looking to reinvent itself and build new markets , should need more human
resources , not trimming the workforce ....
IBM continues to be in survival mode ... only solution is to absolutely break itself up and become a smaller
as for attracting new human resources ... nobody in tech is looking to hire 30 somethings and the
younger candidates have far sexier options than to join up with a flailing company .. .garce
i wouldn't go back that far ..
in 1982 .. it was the US Govt that was throttling IBM .. with that insidious Xerox case .. IBM was bound on
all sides and limited to it's iron production for business , instead of developing new businesses ..
a relative of mine was a corp lawyer for IBM and he told me that during that period , IBM was giving away
crown jewels in the form of selling / licensing patents for things that they could not use or risk the
govt breaking them .... the culture that was created during those years was not able to change once
Ronald Reagan took off the treasury shackles ... gar
