once a few companies cut divs , then most or all will follow and prices
will be appropriately discounted ... not sure how the mlps can handle
a serious cash flow crunch ... for a while , bigger fish will scoop up the
guppies , after that the weakfish go bk ..
we know how much money can be spent
we know how much leverage was given during a boom period
time to play the back nine ... garce
with a slug of outstanding debt , NBL takes on almost 2 billion more .. the good news , is that it should be
immediately accretive ... and there will be cost savings for awhile with consolidation of adminstrative and
executive jobs ... it should work okay , but then stock prices are determined by the perceptions of
the people moving the most money around .. i'm still not ready to move into energy , but the next
12 months will certainly be excited .. pay attention to their bond ratings and watch .. any downgrade will
affect stock price ... looks like the Israel deal is settled , now mgmt can plan and have diverse revenue
flows ... garce
sorry ... looks like they stepped in AH to hold it at 165 ...
i have to wonder then , why did it drop ?? retail investors skittish ? Selling over 5 million shares
let's see what the volume is tomorrow ... institutions do not try to catch falling knives ..
nothing is lost by waiting on this one ...
well there WAS some serious buying during past 2 weeks ... that money had to come back
out .. IBM is probably near long term support ...
considering that BH is actually a fund , it gets tough to find companies that meet criteria
as the fund get huge ... BH doesn't need money right away and the div is better than
a 10 or 30 year bond .. so he's not losing anything
what are my other 4 ids ??
i used to use garceman1 and bronzeman , but they've been dead for years ....
you still have not shown a single post from me that was a pump ...
hate to be the one tell you this , but the insts. dumped some time ago .. that's why you don't see any
support here ...
the new flavor promises to make you forget the old flavors ...
i've heard rumor , though , that it must be taken nasally to be effective ...
IBM researchers seem to have found a way to capture precipitation from the Cloud ..
they are claiming that it makes a superior type of KOOLAID and expect to market it soon !!!!
whooo boy !! haven't some of us learned that the hard way ... mercy ... i got my baptism
back in the early 80's when options were still fairly new and not fully understood ..
today , it's even tougher ... leaps are a bit different , but shorter contracts are mostly
insurance or extremely short term trades ... it's a damned tough game ..garce
i give up then .. you guys should just keeping KMI regardless of any
factors at all ..
what happens when all of that Mediterranean gas comes on line ?
where you do think we will export to ?
chain .. just in case you hadn't noticed ..
there is NO interest in BMY , nor any stocks for that matter on this board ...
there's no investors left and these political / social circle jerkers have no interest in anything about BMY ...
not only that , those $17 shares are yielding about 7% .. where is he gonna come close to that ???
i think that he just like to see his name on a screen
everything that KMI moves through pipes is by contract .. they are flying high with contracts
written when oil and gas were higher ..
if the drillers don't ship anything ... no revs .. also as new contracts get negotiated , the
drillers won't pay as much for transport ..
this isn't like the shipping guys , who are enjoying big rev boosts for "floating storage" ..
the pipes cannot store anything ... g
i have never seen a toll bridge or road ever lower it's tolls ... drillers who use
pipes to ship product renegotiate contracts that come up for renewal ..
poor analysis ...
moreover .. bridge and road operators can run into trouble with increased traffic ,
like more costly repairs beyond what the tolls can support .. g
KMI is different in that they moved from the MLP model to a c corp .. that
may have spooked Cramer , or he just thought that a cyclical stock is done with
today there is an article out about the IRS making new rules concerning
mlp's and it does not sound too good .. KMI may have been ahead of the
pack with it's move , but probably will take a few quarters to how that
plays out ... garce
and exactly what interest would the funds have to buy anything related to oil or gas ??
the short party is just getting underway ..
over the next 3 months , we are going to see the real effects of low oil/gas prices ... companies cash flows
are going to be pinched and not much to make on newer hedges ...
oil/gas are in free fall , no supports ..
bear in mind that once a market goes irrational , it can stay there longer than investors can remain
when the party is over .. GO HOME .. there will be another party to go to ... g
