four , i should imagine that a large outfit like MS will probably play HMD's from more than
1 angle .. and start out with a few different models ... i have to believe that there is
more interest in Emagin than we know ..
I dunno about that , but Al Sharpton should be down there and straighten them folks out ...
Killing the Goose that lays the Golden Egg has long been an aspiration of many ...
liberals tend to recognize their individual tortures and look for an exongenous source of their problems ..
When i was in college , revolt against the machine was very popular and chemical companies were at
the top of the list ... what a joke !!!! .. I would tell my friends they were wrong , but where would they
be , if they got their way ? .. certainly , in those days .. no records to listen to and many other things would
not be available or affordable to them ....
On this planet , during our mortal lives , none of us can have it both ways ... bisexuals think they do , but
they wind up just as frustrated as anyone ..g
Bruce was late the the show ... the correct song is "Down Doobie Down Down Down" Bruce was still in
diapers when that one was a hit ... LOL
one problem is the info that we get about subscribers and churn rates ... believe it or not , there are many consumers who only want their phone to talk on and few more want to text also ...
they are paying a lot for whatever service they get ... the numbers only show how many
people leave one plan or another , without regard as to how much they gen for a company ..
loosing a few million people who use their phones only for calls and maybe a little text
won't be noticed on the bottom lines to T and VZ ... but pr's are always put out to stimulate
trading by investors ... not necessarily pertinent investment info ..g
frank .. i agree with everything you say ... BUT the part about the squirrel ... it has long been held
that squirrels bury nuts and cannot find them .. it has been generally accepted that if each
squirrel buries enough nuts , then all squirrels will probably find some ...
NOT SO .. once again , nature fools us .. what the squirrels do is bury the nuts when they find
them , late summer ,early fall , then , in the Spring when they sprout , the squirrels can readily
fine the seedlings , pull'em up and get the nut , usually with the shell already broken .. my former
neighbor put me onto this and the next spring i watched the squirrels and that's just what they did ...
sooooo , other than that .. bill is more like the broken clock ... g
stock analysts are no different then either men or women trying to hook up at a dating bar ..
you certainly do not get what you see ...
just listen to all of the analysts and add their inputs to your own DD ....
OR .. it just could be that smaller volumes generate bigger price moves .. this thing has been selling off for
quite a while ... also , if there are not enough bids in sight , many sellers will hold off , hoping for less downside
by their selling actions ... have to believe that bids are scarce until you get a long way down .. .garce
1/2 is a bit conservative ... more than likely the comebacks will be closer to 80% .. g
you are correct , which means that different perspectives are in order ....
the big question that i have had , is why in the world has T and VZ been bowing to pressure from the
little guys with respect to price wars ??? going down a few levels , we can find a plausible answer ..
one thing that both T and VZ have to be cautious about is a visit from the Treasury dept , babbling about
anti-trust .. neither of them can afford to bury the small fry .. sooooooo , in order to maintain the perception
of actual competition , they have to allow the little guys to breathe ... Just like the Saudis and oil , VZ and
T could slash prices to the bone , drive out competition , then go on their merry way , until the
treasury tells them to split up or else ... for both T and VZ , this little price skirmish is a short term ,
minor deal ... garce
i guess that must be a pretty big boat .. i enjoy Cramer and get a lot from his rants , NES(or HEK) was
the first time that i actually bought anything , taking Cramer as the lead ... no more .. i'll listen to
Cramer , but rely on my own DD .. the problem with HEK was that i lost patience and bought
too soon and a bit too much ... took a 50% haircut and moved on ... I keep watching , just to test
my thesis ... I have also watched 3 others ... A123 , MCP and BIND , without buying .... i have
never shorted , but am considering doing such , but i want to feel pretty confident that i can spot
the long term decliners ..
I also do not get too granular with NES .. where has the recent insider buying come from ??
Personal money ? exercising options due to expire ? Money borrowed from the company ? ..
it wouldn't be the first time that execs were able , somehow, to use money borrowed from the
company to make their own purchases .....
I always view "insider anything " as a media red herring and ignore those actions ... g
an orgy with NES ....
for all of those pointing to mgmt stock purchases .. i will assume that you have all worked somewhere ..
what was / is your view of mgmt ?? are they smart ? most folks will answer no .. so i don't put any
credence in "insider buying" ... garce
Gary ... you might want to take a look at Emagin corp ... a small , tech development company .. working
on OLED technology , specifically , OLED on silicon ...
OLED technology is poised to go mainstream , actually has already begun , but products are steeply priced.
Over time (probably within the next 10 years) OLED tech will replace every screen on earth , Emagin is
engaged in microdisplays ... OLED general lighting is just being rolled out this year ....
OLED technology has a huge temperature operating range , emits white light and takes a fraction of
electricity , compared to LED which sips current
Much OLED development has come from large companies and might not move their needles all that
much , as they need to keep replacing their older technologies to hold market , but there are definitely
a host of smaller companies that will win big (most will bust ) .. either selling out to the big guys , or
maybe have some key patents to license ..
Emagin makes the guts , the screens , currently selling to defense contractors to sell to military , though
the military is not yet ready to make large purchases , as they keep pushing the spec envelope to get
better products .. later .. garce
i seldom have knowledge of when fish will be feeding ... so i keep my lure in the water ....
we should have enough ice by next week , so it'll be keeping my jig in the water .. lol
