Just for clarification, the price of a stock is not a good means to compare companies. It is like trying to describe how big a pizza is by how many slices it has....more slices does not mean more pizza. Share price is just a function of how many shares issued vs the total value of the company (market cap). As you will see, FB's market cap is more than 20X higher than GPRO. GPRO is kicking #$%$ and has a huge addressable market, but comparisons of their share prices are meaningless.
You wonder how we can know that Cordes isn't doing the same thinks at IC he did at Walls? What exactly did he do at Walls? Do you have info that isn't public. He has only been accused of something, and anyone can accuse anyone of anything. You are getting way ahead of yourself. You are right about what the board should do and concerns IF allegations prove correct, but you assume a LOT. Also, if you have been around here for a while, you know that if you are looking for a highly functioning and diligent board, IC is probably not your best bet:-).
I can't answer why it wasn't disclosed closer to when it was filed, but with all due respect, you can allege ANYTHING in a lawsuit. Certainly not an ideal situation, but let's see how it plays out.
Even though the man with such basic investing knowledge is annoying, take comfort in the fact that he is incredibly consistent at being wrong about stocks. I have made a killing over the years where he shorts. This stock appears to be another. You will learn to take great comfort from his annoying posts as they mean you are going to make $$$$ on the long side:-)
I am afraid your analysis is pretty basic and consistent with shorts looking for anything to latch onto. Sure $20 is a lot to you, but not to a Facebook insider. It is an inconsequential piece of their holdings. This would be seen in virtually every single IPO ever issued, insiders following advice of their advisors to diversify out of a single stock. True for stocks that were just getting started on their advances and ones that then fell, so it is useless as an indicator when it is in such small percentage of total shares held. Nice try!
WhatsApp (500M) had more than twice as many users as TWTR at time of purchase. That said, I think Twitter is much further down monetization road.
The street is not connecting the two. Talking heads need to say something so they make up whatever comes to mind. I guarantee the has nothing to do with TWTR and is just normal action.
Well, you are wrong. At least about saying that is why FB will fail. Now they have a "Save" or "Read later" option. When you see that post from Lisa, simply "Save" it and it will be there for you when you want. This was only released about a week and a half ago. That used to drive me crazy, but now it is all better. Safe to go heavy long now too:-)
Why would you use a P/E of 25 for a company that is growing earnings at over 100%?
For the record, the word is "accelerate" and correct spelling, "decelerate"
It just an optical illusion. It's the same size as the entrance but since no one uses it and people are piling through the entrance like Midnight on Black Friday at Wal Mart, it looks like that.
PS you ought to think about covering. Free advice from your friendly greeter.
It's just sitting there for you. Nothing could be easier. Bet the farm and go short:-)
Serious question: why wouldn't you put your money where your mouth is? Why not be massively short since you seem massively positive this is overvalued. That's what Warren Buffet does and wait's for the market to recognize the value he sees? You spend an awful lot of your life here, might as well profit from it.
You say, "if they know it is wrong...." You are the only one involved who thinks it is wrong. It is not wrong according to the SEC or to them, so they do it that way, which is their prerogative. Just because you think it is wrong is immaterial.
Q: If slider yells, "It is wrong" in the forest, does anyone care? Answer: No
I get the using other's money, but don't understand why you are considered sub-prime. Why pay such a high rate if you have such good income?
