I'm getting concerned about Ergen's strategy. He's buying even more spectrum yet has no dance partner for the wireless party and isn't going to build a network from scratch. The obvious bidders for the entire company or the spectrum are circling until the spectrum build out requirements hit and they need to sell all that spectrum fire sale. Dish needs to be sold to AT&T , dtv, tmus, sprint, or verizon. in other words, ergen needs to start cashing in his chips. 4 national carriers is already too many for all 4 to be profitable.....that's pretty obvious as they are duplicating each other's networks. so charlie needs to enter by pairing with one of the 4 incumbents. this is shaping up to be a fiasco in the making.
DISH is starting to look like clwr....a lot of spectrum with no network and mgmt doesn't wasn't to sell the company or the spectrum...although the reason is different in this case.
