$17 is only a 15-17% drop from here if you bought at these levels. For those that have been holding since 40, a drop to 17 won't be much of a drop at all. They will just keep holding their shares and keep hope alive.
At least if it drops to $17 your short bets will pay out a bit more, but what if there is good news? ANY good news? The stock will pop to $30 pps or a 50% increase from here. I would take the chance of a 15% loss to possibly pocket a 50% 6 days a week and twice on sundays.
Could be hedging a long position they are opening up. Could be that they see more downside risk ahead. Who knows... Not a good sign, but up 73 cents today is a good sign.
Two positive spin articles were release simotaneously on seeking alpha. Seems coordinated, but someone is buying to push shorts out of their positions. Not a very good sign for shorts. Should see price recover into earnings. After earnings it will depend on their vision of things and how they can sell the analysts on the future of the company.
Yes, SODA is experiencing a set back. Many growth companies have a stall phase they go through especially when they are transitioning to position themselves to handle increased demand.
SODA will continue its growth once they get their new plant operating at 100% and get their vision and execute on it.
You are right this year and we all knew that growth was slowing and they most likely would not meet their FY 14 estimate for EPS and REVs, but your statement that SODA is a dead fad is way off.
We will see in 12 months from now who is right, but you will be long gone and no longer care about this stock once you are on to your next target to attack, distort and confuse.
Either way, I'm a stubborn long that is not going to sell.
Where would you do your good DD? Are you talking out of your #$%$ or do you actually have something of substance to add to this discussion?
Yes, I have noticed Zacks throwing out all their articles on SODA. Can you just put out one article instead of five? They all say the same thing... Its obvious manipulation.
bj12blue, no one knows what sales will be for Q4, but they will give us an idea in the conference call. If you really do know this, I would love to know who or what your source is. Can you provide me with that information?
All I can say is that developing the Soda Caps product was all about giving the big boys a way to introduce their syrups to a sodastream user without giving the consumer a way to change the way their brand would taste by putting in too much or too little syrup. it guaranteed consistency which is important to PEP and DPS.
No volume because shares to short is very low and there aren't any longs left wanting to part with their shares. The only volume we will have the rest of the week will be that of shorts covering. Good luck!
Totally disagree. I think we will have some direction in the conference call and I think the stock may go under $20, yes, but shorts will start to cover before earnings. IF some do not start to cover then they either have brass balls or they have some information that none of us have yet.
I believe they own 12-13% of the outstanding shares.
All it needs to recover is some funds or buyers to support the price by buying here. Once that happens, shorts will have no where lower to take the price and they alone will let it recover. The price of the stock was effected by market conditions and the pre-release of earnings, but that is not why the price is where it is.
bounced off 21. We shall see how much longer this remains a loser. Peoples fortunes are taken and made overnight in these type of markets.
