And funds mentioned will include more than a broad major benchmark index. May even mention jv's fidelity bioscience fund....which I do not own. Thats all....Iggy
If one owned FX 3 yr. ago and rode a 10000 investment through today, 10000 would grow to around 12000. Same amount of money in S and P would be over 16K. I am glad I got out and put it elsewhere. Very glad so far. I believe Jerry Jones, owner of Dallas Cowboys said he was to continue as general mgr.for his team for another 10 or 20 years. After all, he owns the team and can select the players. It appears many Cowboy fans are upset with Jerrys announcement. Heeb and Jerry are both 71 and very independent. As for AGNC I have no knowledge of what it is or was. By the way Morningstar gives Fx ONE star. Perhaps the ol boy can regain past glory eventually. Good Luck to you,
2011: FX Minus 26 percent while S and P was up 2 percent. 2012 FX up 14 and S and P up 16 percent. Finally for 2013 ytd FX up 30 , S and P up 28 percent. This might be the year
Heeb does it. A little over a month to go. Source Morningstar as of Nov. 21,2013. (rounded off to nearest whole no..in fact the 30 was reached by rounding up) Your loyalty is abmirable. Regards Iggy
Challenge, nice effort in behalf of "he who spells his name the same both forward and backwards." But.......Due to past great and tremendous gains, (and the loyalty which is a biproduct), rivvir WILL NEVER ever give up on "heeb", who at last is matching the S and P 500 for the first time in several years. My observation ......and my opinion. guten abend.
on the way to extinction...........its almost over............by the way the very fair minded former USA Today owner and founder of USA Today passed away in the past 8 months or so. (Al Neuharth, as I recall, a WW2 vet, who adopted like 12 kids, and passed away in his late 80s. I bought this colourful (literally) paper EVERY weekday for years and years, and out of the blue it increased (recently and by economic likelihood) DOUBLED its daily price from a buck a day to 2 bucks. Imo, it will be last to go...........of the NATIONS NEWSPAPERS..........some local papers will survive but the net will rule ( AND WE SHALL SEE WHICH, (the , print papers, or old school ABC, NBC, CBS video outletslllllllllllllllllll are BETTER IN TIME, THE NET OR THE OLD SCHOOL TRADITIONAL OUTLETS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just my opinion.......heh..........THANKS FOR PUTTING UP WITH THIS RANT AND AT LEAST perusing it slightly............thats allllllllllllllllllllllllllll. .. heh............
Sorry boys, I think you overcomplicate. On the other hand I do think we are on the edge of where the rich benefit and the poor get #$%$.. On the other hand, its sad, and also positive, in the $ sense, to being a plus to being on the beneficial side of things. (darwinian law). Sorry rivvir, but I have a question for you........Have you ever had an animal, that you raised, and it lived for years and years....(nonhuman), that you admired, and had to put out of its misery. ..? I dont think so, and thats a very partial difference between todays"s suburbs and rural Amerika, or is it still America? Damn, I wished the majority of us valued what we have and paid attention..........
I think you guys overcomplicate. The government, imo, will be fine if it sticks and eventually returns to being a republic. On the other hand if it leans to to being a democracy,.and continues to allow those to vote who do not even know who the VP is
in a photo op. ......well its over ........just my opinion... By the way, the only thing that will influence the young voters NEXT YR. will be the Affordable Care Act.if and when the IRS deducts from their wages when they dont sign up to benefit us Boomers. , During our Revolutinary War, according to the History Channel, the rebels, AGAINST THE emotionally disabled King of England, WERE IN THE MINORITY in "the colonies". Sheesh , by staing that ....does that put me on some Black Suit list?????. I remember during Kent State being photographed by black suits who stepped in amidst us right in the middle of a 8 abreast Peace march and started snapping away with their cameras. Tricky #$%$, and now this #$%$................thats all..........
Is it Steve taking over from Don? I HAVE wondered the same thing. On the other hand, the Y funds have had their 3 or 4 yr. dry periods, while they hung onto cash reserves. On the other hand, I have about 20 years left..............give or take ........we will see wont we?
Either his native language is not English, or perhaps the poster just failed to absorb the use of descriptive adjectives in middle or secondary school.
Since you call Americans "dumb" I assume you do not include yourself as an American. What country do YOU claim citizenship in?
Juan, I appreciate your input on this. I remember the "lost decade" (the first decade of the new millenia, 2000-2009. In which the S and P 500 basically broke even for that time period. And another big decline (like the two we had in the 2000s) could occur again, or at least a 10% correction which is overdue. On the other hand I am really glad I stayed in and added to my portfolio the last few years as the gains have been tremendous. (which I would have missed had I not been in). Believe me, I am capable of pulling the trigger in getting out, but right now Im in 80%.
SLB nearing its 52 week high, MON reached its today, and CLB 5% from its 52 week high. CLB up well over 70% this year. Congrats to those who owned it early this year or before. Incredible.
Google Finance had an article stating the Chinese state run media is encouraging more gmo acceptance and use (more imports) in China, even though some Communist pols oppose it, calling gmo's the "new opium." Nevertheless the stock has been up recently That's all..........
Bill Clinton stepped up when he said if you liked your health ins. you should have the choice of keeping it. Yes, perhaps he said it because Hillary will run again in the primary, but he did the right thing.
"Fewer seeds needed to increase yield" Not sure I agree with that part. (depends on the crop you are discussing). Corn seeding rate on my farm is now 36000 seeds per acre (30 inch rows). Used to be several thousand less per acre.. As far as sb, (soybeans) yes the seeding rate recommended by the seed dealer has decreased by about 10%.
