BUY COP, T, or K and get about the same yield, and be invested in growth stocks. Both regularly INCREASE their dividends. It is amazing that HE has not CUT their dividend. Don't waste your time, effort and money on a "stagnant" stock (HE)!
Sentiment: Sell
Nothing has changed. Why would you buy HE when you could buy growth stocks ( COP or T for example) with equivalent yields, but are considered GROWTH stocks. Think about it!

You don't really understand the economics of energy do you. You have it backwards.

I am a buyer at this level. Dividend just around the corner.

What I do like is the fact the "new production" projects of the future are still on schedule. THAT, along with ng price increases, is what will power up earnings in the future.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
$l.42 per share with coming new project startups on schedule. Stock UP in the pre-market.

I will give you three guesses and the first two don't count. :)
Sentiment: Buy
If you are invested for the long term it makes absolutely no difference. Add more to you portfolio when you have the funds to do so and reinvest the dividends. Take this from somebody who has been doing it very successfully for many years.

WEAK ECONOMIC DATA. China's numbers seemed to have been the catalyst. Weak economic numbers usually translates into lower corporate profits and weaker demand for petroleum products.
If you are a day trader (which I am not) then you might have a problem. If you invest for the longer term than chill out and buy more. Always has worked for me.
Sentiment: Buy
Nice bounce off the low for the day. Same for the DJIA.
Sentiment: Buy
$61.45 in premarket.
Sentiment: Hold
It looks like the dividend will indeed be up if they are where we think they are on those two horizontals. 11 to 12 cent dividend will push the stock up. I don't have a clue how much, but it will be headed the right direction. We will soon know.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Just to clarify, I DID sell SOME PSX at the first of the week and used those proceeds to ADD to my COP holdings. I will hold my remaining PSX shares for the long term. You care correct when you say they are well managed and not JUST a refiner.
Sentiment: Hold
The announcement of more stringent EPA requirements started the decline. These changes will cost the refineries a lot of money to comply. The cost of gasoline will rise and that is exactly what Obama wants. Any increase in gasoline prices makes his green projects look that much better. Projected future crack spread declines also impact the future profitability of the refiners. I am holding here.
Sentiment: Hold
I could not have said it any better.
I am taking my profits in PSX and reinvesting back into the mother ship. I think PSX is still a good hold here, but far more money now to be made in COP. Take advantage of the PSX run up and be positioned for coming COP surge. Plus the far better dividend of COP. Just my honest opinion.
