Listen, this will not affect CRC. This explosion will cause the price of gas to sky rocket. This happened a couple years ago when a CA refiner shut down. You are dense. Go away dumb man.
3 trillion printed to his cronies on wall street. Otherwise he's tried killing coal, oil , gas production in USA. But you are a half wit who knows neither logic or busin3ss. So, fluck off.
Did Bush send unmarked weapons to Mexico resulting in the death of a border agent and hundreds of Mexicans? Or use the IRS to destroy political opposition. Fail to provide aid in Benghazi. Destabilize Egypt, Syria, Yemen, and Libya? Remember, he knocked of Mubarack and Qaddafi and gave power to the Muslim brotherhood. And lest we forget his claim in 2011 that IRAQ is an example of his leadership and democracy in the ME. He then let the JV team ISIS seize control while he golfed. Remember when he announced that an American had been beheaded, then hit the golf course? Shall I continue you ignorant POS!?
Mark Walker will win. No more BUSH, and the country can not survive another socialist like Clinton. Obama is using Bill's crooks. America should be ashamed voting for devils like Obama and Clinton.
Fighting the Senate? He had the Senate for 6 years. They have been in control since 07. You are brain dead.
Seeking Alpha is not a credible source. I found that many posters there use multiple aliases.
I admit to having a few months of panic, when OXY spun off CRC. My grandparents invested in OXY many moons ago, but as Royalty Interest Owners on land in Central CA. So, with the spinoff, it was difficult to get information about how this would effect us (well...the royalty funds monthly).
Being a native Californian, I wanted to support CRC, so added CRC to my developing portfolio, and a few shares of OXY just to cover my bases, and keep the family legacy alive.
After some difficult transition weeks, I cannot be more pleased with the contact from CRC (a letter of apology for phone messages that were not returned), and the royalty payments like clock work.
Because we have been Royalty Interest Owners since my grandparents' death (my father turned his interests over to me), I can reasonably project a rise or a fall in royalties.
As to the cost/share, was thinking the same as you, but perhaps 15-18/share next year will be the proof of the pudding of the spin off.
I read a rather sketchy article in the LA Times, reporting that CRC pulled out of the Carson deal which would have provided 300 or so jobs to the community, but the author of the article never mentioned the fact that the community did not want CRC in Carson, and had quite the hissy fit about the plans of CRC. So, hopefully, CRC will remain where it is welcome, and provide for jobs in an area that is grounded in agriculture and oil; just as my grandpa foresaw.
I agree. CRC shares are being accumulated. Friday appeared to be profit taking day given that oil was up, while many oil companies finished down. I have been using dividend payments to acquire more shares. They have low cost, long lasting assets. And the Monterey shale play is the primary reason I keep it. One day they will get that oil.
