At our PWE shareholders from hell skype conference call the following was decided: We would be using the generous donations from an unnamed shareholder to begin legal proceedings. Notices will be filed in the proper counties to obtain all of the information shareholders are entitled to. Corporate malfeasance issued will be discussed. A group will be chosen to review obtained information. Harry. Smart and Mserv. gather 5 smooth shares from the river and take them out of street name because we are going to take on Goliath here soon.
The mere announcement of a share repurchase plan from the proceeds of the next asset sale, would be the only thing that would turn this pooch around, aside from a resignation of the board of directors. A company that sells stock to pay it's own dividends is a ponzi scheme, not an energy company. Was there another conference call why the 12 m shares sold?
Don't depend on any of my past posts to think this Company might be a buy/ An exit target of 9 or 10 would be a better idea. After checking into some facts. I agree with some of the other posters here that this company will not return to the values of it's past. We all agree that the assets are overstated on the books. Then the large number of shares going to management would explain the large amounts of insider trading. You would still want to wait a one or two quarters to get out at high points 9 10 or even 11 as many active traders have fond memories.
Hey smart, do you remember when that property they just sold was purchased and at about what price. Need this info to make a quick estimate. I think the large shareholders stopped selling at 8.60 People are just selling before the conference call because they remember the last one and are nervous.
Are you part of an active shareholders group? Smart pointed this out last year. Doesn't seem like a huge percentage of shares outstanding, but should be checked into. As a shareholder you do have the right to know this. File a notice of discovery if you have to and let us know what you find. How do you get the two billion of blue sky is this supposed to be good will? I wonder if they could sell it. LOL
Smart, what. you bought how many shares of pwe and now you are a hold. Was this decision made after I told you that the cost basis of most sold assets are reduced by accumulated depreciation, depletion, ect charges made over the years of service. Oh no say it isn't so. This formula does not usually apply to land and I am not an expert on depletion accounting. But I am fairly certain that the tax authorities in Canada will not let them expense several billion dollars in assets twice.
I don't make trades like that. I look for fundamentals and hold. I do not think this new management is doing a bad job. It was quite a feat to bring this pooch above break even in less than a year. After the next conference call I expect there will be more investors impressed by debt reduction and improvements to cause a rigour mortis twitch of 10 or 11
Smart, I would be a short too if I were paying out depletion expenses in cold hard cash and not reducing the accumulations from the cost basis at point of sale. Smart/ / /Ador is a female. She will run off if you even talk about numbers or trend lines. This is female activity. Don't be calling her stupid. Every one has a talent of one kind or another.
I think people sold yesterday to get ready for conference call action. If they hear big talk about big people and big plans instead of facts about debt reduction and cost cuts there might be another big sell off.
Harry don't feel bad about being wrong at 11. Shareholders made 30% more when we told them not to sell last year at 8.60 If they didn't have the sense to sell when the share price dropped from 13 they will probably just lose money on something else.
I would be in early on the buying frenzy that will follow the next conference call. plus 14 a share are my minimum projections. Good luck to you anyway. Isn't Mr Clayton your shareholders rep?
Formula is sales price less cost net of accumulated depreciation. The key fact would be if that property was purchased 8 or 10 years ago. Then the plus share impact would be huge. This puts my estimate of .14 up to .24 cents a share for the next quarter and we still have to add price increases and production increases.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Wait. . . My prediction was an annual prediction divided by four it's an estimated loss of ,05 a share, the My quarterly estimate is the exact same one Smart and Harry made minus .05. It was .11 cents off for last quarter so don't worry about it.
I get the massive cash flows by adding back estimated depreciation expenses on billions of assets. Plus .50 per share. Did you think they were paying someone for depreciation expense? It is a miracle that all of our estimates are so close. My new estimate is now a loss of .12 a share. Someone should correct the false Yahoo statements. thousands of people look at them. No wonder there was that mass sell off.
The Yahoo Finance clearly shows an eps loss of 34 cents a share. Is this an old number? Where are you reading your financial statements? The most interesting fact is that Smart and Harry came up with the same number minus .05 eps. That is a very interesting fact as these statements are very complicated and affected by many factors.
Make your prediction Ador, numbers are not spin. Even smart said the loss will be only 5 cents a share. That would be a huge improvement.
I am being ultra conservative, they do have some large debt payments and other expenses, Their loss was 35 cents a share last quarter. Cash flows will be massive though.
