keef, I'm afraid I may be the cause of the supercharger throttling.
I bought into Tesla real heavy, and even implemented a solar charger at home, so I have a lot invested.
Work slowed down a bit and I was having problems making payments, so I started brainstorming.
What I started doing was hooking up my 85 to my solar grid and selling back to the utility. I had originally set this up to supply power to the house in an emergency, ie extended power failure, no sun for solar.
I now discharge the Tesla down to where I have just enough to make it to the supercharger a few miles away
and then head straight there to charge. Some days I do this twice. One Saturday, I did it three times as I would
charge the car while doing errands nearby.
Not proud of doing this, but so far I've been able to ride things out and keep the Tesla.
Tesla is rumored to be in negotiations to purchase Powerdyne International, Inc. for power plants in remote areas, and as a supplement/backup to solar installations.
Powerdyne International, Inc., a development stage company, focuses on owning, manufacturing, installing, maintaining, and leasing patented portable electrical power generation equipment. The company intends to offer PDIGenset, a self-contained generator that is powered by a radial air cooled engine to drive a 1-megawatt generator. It focuses to market its products to commercial, manufacturing, and mining operations, as well as other existing independent power generation application primarily in New England, Alaska, the Caribbean Basin, and South America. The company has strategic alliance with Teknikor, Inc. Powerdyne International, Inc. was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Warwick, Rhode Island
BMW will sell aprox 2.3 million cars in 2016. I wasnt able to stay for the breakdown by model, but they usually ask that information not be shared. M2 is a sweet car. Brass seemed happy about the progress / sales of EVs. Tesla is still in the lead, but BMW and VW/Audi are coming on strong now. They will keep Elon on his toes.
I even drove the I3 and liked it. It was fun, but I want to try one with the extender next. Performance was adequate, as most people dont need Tesla's acceleration capability. I havent driven the I8, will have to make time soon.
Unless Boeing, LMT and Amazon are being bought by foreign companies, yes, they'll be American.
We should not be dependant on Russia for anything, recent history has pointed that out.
Thanks for the reminder on that quote. Elon does need to be reeled in a bit lately, I wish he would concentrate on one thing and get it right before moving on.
“I think Elon Musk is a genius, and I don’t use that word lightly,” Munger said in response to a question about whether they’d talked. “He’s also one of the boldest men who ever came down the pike. So put me down as saying I’ve always been afraid of the guy whose IQ is 190 and he thinks it’s 250.”
Looking at cars offered on Tesla website, the prices seem to be getting reasonable,
2013's with 2 or 3k miles for around $23k less than you could have bought them new.
Some expensive miles for the previous owner at around $10 a mile, but a deal for the next?
VW is the biggest threat to Tesla Motors. Elon needs to concentrate on cars!
MS said this stock could go to $1900.
Another analyst says $65
Recent events, slowing sales, increasing competition, etc
would indicate that near term the stock is most likely to go lower,

Having read the article, and since as you pointed out there's multiple definitions, exactly what are you saying? I saw nothing in the Moodys article which referred to deceit, or being double or twofold.
In rating the debt, Moodys seemed to see that there were positives, but it certainly didnt like the credit risk.
"Although we recognize the rationale for the acquisition and the strength of the combined entity's main revenue drivers, the large amount of debt being utilized for the acquisition is a credit risk. Integration risk that could delay realization of anticipated cost synergies will also be considered during our review."
Thanks for the reminder!
The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to U.S. President Barack Obama for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the award on October 9, 2009, citing Obama's promotion of nuclear nonproliferation and a "new climate" in international relations fostered by Obama, especially in reaching out to the Muslim world
Thumbs up just because I find it impossible to agree with pwdy on anything.
Tesla is very overvalued presently. Elon has done a great job keeping pps up, but there are too many negative factors, strong dollar, increasing competition, etc.
Also, I doubt Boeing or Lockheed could be sold, due to their defense contracts.
Had never heard of Highpower. I do know there's a lot of competition including BYD, Enphase Energy, Alevo, Sunverge, BMZ, NEC Energy Solutions, Johnson Controls, LG Chem, Samsung, Saft, GE and Mitsubishi
I think Elon should stick with EVs.
Elon is a genius. Anyone that can keep Tesla's stock price up without profits, with increasing competition, and with slowing sales is a genius. Energy storage for the unused batteries, inspirational. Tesla above $300 this summer.
I think they'll have a surprise profit, in order to get another offering out and get the gigafactory built.
Profit will be from selling unused batteries to SCTY, and from used car sales.
