Long quiet period means they don't know what to do, and haven't for a long time. I look in time to time, but I took my beating and sold at a huge loss a couple of months ago ... When they announced that shareholders could be left with nothing. They meant it. They haven't demonstrated any concern for shareholders.....ever. Lesson learned. An expensive one. Hate to admit I was so wrong about this co. They stole all our money. And could care less. Never, ever got a response to any inquiries to IR. That should have been a major red flag.

  • Someone from the company should make a statement to mitigate the negative impact of that one statement everyone has latched on to. Everyone was aware that in 2016 there is a large debt payoff due... That isn't news. Any big pharma could absorb that debt without batting an eyelid ... And realize billions from Provenge in the years to come
Let's see if Amick can figure out what to do. I know the company does not care a whit for shareholders ... But to threaten to leave us with nothing at this point is irresponsible and shows no moral fiber whatsoever. Seriously, why would they issue a 10Q like that?

Sell the company now and get something for your shareholders. Announce an EU partner and let's get that revenue stream going ... Prostate cancer affects millions worldwide. We need Provenge to survive and continue to be available. Does the Bod have any offers on the table? Put those offers to a shareholder vote.

  • I'd like to hear from our new CEO ... He has to be an improvement over his predecessor.
Not sure how long a learning curve he will need ... Or if perhaps he can get a partnership deal done ... Or an advantageous buyout that will insure Provenge's continuing availability for the aging world population.
I'm very tired of DNDN "going it alone" ... And I feel their own mgmt team has been doing a very poor job indeed. Need new blood and a fresh point of view - hopefully from a big pharma, to realize this vaccine's true potential. It works! Get costs under control through economies of scale and let's see how Provenge will change the face of PC treatment forever.

This company does not do anything to increase shareholder value, or inflict "pain" on shorts ...
Otherwise, there would be more communication from these incompetent company directors and officers. They simply do not communicate in any fashion. One would think that someone from investor relations might take issue with the constant stream of negativity from so many media sources ... But it simply doesn't occur.

We have a VP of investor relations listed under "key executives". Has anyone ever heard her speak a word? Or seen a quote from this person anywhere? Has she ever responded to anyone's request for information addressed to IR? I've sent a few inquiries to IR and never received a single answer to a single question. What is everyone doing at DNDN each day? When is that EU launch to take place? Any thing to report on the partnership or long term debt situation? Hello Seatlle - we need some communication. How about some words from our new Chief Executive Fossil? C'mon ... Sell the company ... Since no one in Current mgmt knows what they're doing. They should all be replaced.

My sources tell me Amick is a major upgrade over JJ

Hope you are correct. I think a stump would have been an improvement over JJ, he didn't set the bar very high, did he? At 70, 71? , I think the age does matter. Although maybe it means they intend to actually get things done in the next several months. We've had EU approval for a year now .... So what? Guess we'll know soon exactly what is in store. DSCO looks a little like SVNT to me, unfortunately. And that was this guys last stop. At this point I'm underwhelmed, but hope it means something is going to happen. Still think he is very "interim".

Doesn't look like someone hired for the long term, does he? Dsco appears to be a dead company - no revs and a pps worse than ours. So, what is this guy going to do for us?
Amick Looks very much a place holder, since Johnson is gone in two weeks and they had to have someone in the position. Was hoping deal (partnership or BO) would be announced in next two weeks, but must've hit a snag.
Just wonder how long before we get REAL news? They've been looking for a buyer for over a year now. What's the hold-up? Can't anyone at this co. negotiate a sale?

    Sentiment: Hold

  • Referring to a production agreement (with a third party) by Aug 15 and a co-promotion agreement with a third party, again by aug 15, whereby JJ is entitled to some additional monies ... Not sure if the amounts are significant enough that any "deal" will get done ... But apparently he was working on some deals that were supposed to be completed by mid Aug. I'll be stunned if anything actually comes of these "incentives", but it makes one wonder what deals he was trying to get done and with whom?

  • As they usually announce on Thursdays. Has anyone seen a date announcement?
No CEO yet, no earnings date? Interim CFO... What are we to make of all this?
The quiet company. Wonder when they will tell us what's happening? Don't mind us
We're only shareholders and apparently don't need to know. Mgmt is irresponsible. Need a clean sweep of this crew.

    Sentiment: Buy

We have a (very) lame-duck CEO leaving in two weeks (finally!). We have our "interim" CFO - are they "executive searching" for his replacement too? He's been interim for quite some time now. We list a VP of investor relations whom we've never heard a peep from (keep up the non work Katherine) If they are not selling this company to someone, and soon ... Just what on earth ARE they doing?

There have been executive departures throughout most of Johnson's ineffective tenure. So, what now?

I expect we will be hearing important news within the next two weeks ... It's inevitable. Either we have a new CEO or we perhaps don't have a need? The BOD obviously has no qualifications to select a new CEO - see how well their last choice did. So what choice remains? I think a deal is done too - just we'll be the last to know. Expect large volume pick up very soon. I think it is going to get real interesting ... Real soon.

Why AGN should and I believe will buy DNDN

    by dwcity98 Jul 27, 2014 7:50 PM

DNDN needs mgmt, as we haven't had any for over two years.
I don't understand why company is announcing nothing regarding CEO search or continuity plans for post Johnson era (although a pet rock could have done as good a job as JJ has done - could performance have been any worse?) Volume is virtually nil and we are all sitting here waiting for the company to Do Something!!! Hope, they sell and all current "management" and BOD is fired - starting with investor relations people who are absolutely worthless.

Zzzzzzzzzzz. This is truly maddening. Watching paint dry. This is the lowest profile game changing company I've ever seen. How's the executive search for a new CEO going? Hello Seattle?
Tubbo is gone in less than a month ... What's the plan? Do you think the shareholders should be informed of the plan here?

  • imahogster by imahogster Jul 23, 2014 10:15 AM Flag

Are we searching for a new CEO? A real CEO this time? Or is something cooking that makes the need for a new CEO moot? Considering the exodus of executives this past year, what's the plan Stan? Want to let the shareholders know? Or will the continuing disregard for shareholders remain the company policy. Fire the whole BOD - we need a new team! Interesting to see so,little insider ownership of this co. They know they're inept. Please sell the co. Do something,!!!

    Johnson = Company Destroyer

Considering how poorly Savient did under his tenure, the fault really lies with whomever hired this buffoon to begin with, compounded by the fact that it took over two years for them to realize he hadn't a clue as to how to make this co. profitable. All we ever heard from JJ was excuses. I don't foresee anything but retirement in his future, heck I believe he has been semi-retired for over 2 years. Should return his stock options and salary for "non-performance". What did he DO all day? His many "connections" garnered DNDN nothing. A joke.

My wife thinks I'm insane to be buying here, but it WORKS. And PC is a huge problem for the aging male population of the entire planet. Having relatives and friends dealing with PC, the options are pretty scary and lots of side effects .... A vaccine??? Who wouldn't opt for that and MUCH earlier in the disease's progression? It only makes sense. A big pharma could better control expense of the treatment and lead to much wider distribution .... Much sooner than DNDN going it alone. Hope they sell to someone soon ... Or at least partner with someone to get this more widely distributed faster.

I don't believe Johnson had any offers for the co. I think he had no idea what he was doing for the entire time he was here. An overpaid moron, resting on his fat laurels from the one deal IMCLONE - that he just happened to be around for .... More recently he destroyed SVNT and almost destroyed this co. He cannot leave soon enough for me. An overpaid oaf.

One would think ... And yet we sit at near all time lows waiting for .............what exactly? I fail to understand the lack of any real action by this management team. If Johnson is leaving, let's get a new CEO in place or let us know what the long term plan is please. We are able to be manipulated due to the collusion and inaction of DNDN's inept mgmt team. I'm thankful Johnson is leaving (can't be soon enough for me) - but why is he hanging on until mid August? Let's move on and replace tubbo or sell the co. To a company that can properly market a treatment that is worth billions. The inaction is intolerable. The whole board should be replaced for their failure to carry out their fiduciary responsibilities to the shareholders.
