Didn't have a buy order in so my powder is still dry but looking closely at it. think now, I can get it at $6.30 if I'm patient. its been as low as $6.41 today. Sellers overwhelming buyers, volume still lackluster, my opinion only, is that some capitulation is occurring at these price levels for holders that bought in when the stock was flying higher and either trying to cut their losses or take tax losses on it, but I think the decline will bottom out at around $6.30 assuming the price stabilizes for any length of time other than a day. The constant drip drip decline takes its toll on the psychology of the market for this stock without some sort of catalyst to cause a change in direction. Have another holding I'm in the process of cashing out if it sells I'll take that $36,000 and put it into AMPE, which, I think will do well in the 1st Qtr. No crystal ball, just an opinion.
Karma, Thanks for a very lucid post on how people like Agnew and others who are in love with the stock get burned because they keep buying at ever declining values thinking the stock is an even better deal each day it goes lower and averaging down to zero thinking all the while it is going to go up tomorrow, which never comes. The Fund manager wins the shorts wins and the lovers get jilted and screwed because they never accept the possibility that it may go to unrealistically low levels and not go up as they believe it should
Don't need to short tout a stock that the volume indicates nobody wants, thus the current pps and continuing decline. the shorts still need somebody to sell to and apparently there are not enough buyers to provide any price support. the only other alternative to finding a price that investors are willing to buy it at, is to give it away. I don't think it will get that bad but short term for those in love with this stock there are going to be some better buying opportunities so go ahead and buy, bet the farm, the house and everything you own you can be as myopic as you choose. GL2U
#$%$. LOL,How about paraphrasing that so we don't have to guess. What happened to your usually irrepressible optimism? GL2U and GLTA. Merry Christmas anyway ;-) Get your shocked face, think this may turn around in February or March
Just for the record I enjoy your posts more than most. I am curious though, how did you decide on a moniker like; th3k33p3r24?
a quick correction it closed at $10.55 on the 24th of October not the 25th not that it makes much difference. The bottom line is the short term trend is down. Where it stops heaven knows.
safetyman, this board doesn't take kindly to anyone who isn't giddy about this stock. ON Oct24th the stock closed at $10.55 with a volume of 1,849,800 shares. On Dec 6th, today it closed at $7.08 with a volume of 163,000 shares that speaks volumes to me no pun intended. I am already persona non grata around here for challenging the prevailing fantasies about this stock.
Depending on how you frame the shot over the course of two years. you can pretend everything is coming up roses, but right now it is heading lower on declining volume closed at $10.55 on OCT 25th closed today DEC 6th at $7.08 with an intraday low of $6.98, not what I would define as a strong uptrend, more foreboding is the declining volume indicating in my view diminishing interest in the stock and likely further deterioration in pps. the poor slobs who bought at $10.55 on OCt 25th probably don't share your optimism or your spin on the uptrend.
or lower, every day drip, drip, drip, few cents at a time. In truth I don't understand the decline but the trend is clear and it isn't up. Long term. IT may do well, with emphasis on the long. Why I'll probably buy back in if it hits my price target
I don't remember Steve ever saying HE was short and LOL, and I'm surprised to hear that you think there is any such thing as a "good" short.
The price of gold probably explains why we don't have a PEA yet. IF you don't like the answer don't ask the question.
Wow, I'm flattered you think I have so much influence over the market. I seriously doubt the market takes me any more seriously than you do. Just my opinion is that it will hit $6.90 well before it hits, LOL 45. The fact is that in spite of all the cheerleading on this board for this stock. It continues to drift lower. it doesn't matter if all of us cheer like Agnew. The market doesn't care what any of us say. least of all Agnew. As we speak $7.08 down another 7 cents. The rest of the market is not nearly as impressed with AMPE as this board is and that is the fact of the matter. reality doesn't take a holiday because you don't like it. $6.90 is just my tenative personal target for buying back in assuming I can close out some other positions and redeploy my some of my cash
Wow,If I was looking for a rational or semi-intellectual discussion on PGLC. I'm in the wrong thread. GL2U. What did the SEC shut you up for, your sweet disposition ;-))
LOL, maximum lemon eater! If it makes you feel better I was called a Folksy yak and a short tout on another board for holding a contrarian view to the cheerleaders of another stock on a different board who were always predicting fantasy riches always tomorrow in the face of an ongoing price decline. Hope this board continues to have a rational discussion and not turn into faith based investing
RIght now there's too much emphasis on hope. I hope they start mining, and I hope they do something other than admire all those supposedly fully permitted facilities and I hope there's no further dilution down the road and I hope I'm out of this thing before they actually do do a reverse split and, yada. yada, yada
Are only cheerleaders allowed here? Would make for a boring board. I myself prefer discussions that challenge a prevailing view. Maybe when everyone leans to one side of the boat the safest place to be is the other side. Just a thought ;-)
