Doubt it all big time. I suspect there is more downside to come, this type of shakeout takes a while to complete. No position.
Looking at the history of software and servers as a model I assume in the long run much of the cloud business turns into a commodity and the large (and good) win the game in the long run. Some Niche players do well serving good clients and specials needs, but many fall off, and are either acquired or go away. But I do not understand the technology well enough to know if the the subtitles matter much. Speed, customization, personal services, security, partnerships, flash vs whatever, storage implications, compatibility. The cloud will grow I am sure but in the long run how do the big guys do vs the smaller ones. Are my thoughts of big wins in the long run mis informed? This is not a RVBD specific question, it's about the sector(s). TIA.
here who had said they were waiting for the auditor to get fired then would load up. Smart people. I had and have no position. believe me I know wall street pulls some pretty contrition moves, but this one really perplexes me. the people who bought were smart or have inside information. con grads to those who figured this one out,
I thought CFO was ok, tried to explain (over and over) why a couple of segment, most china related got pushed back, sounded reasonable, but Cramer was obviously #$%$ off, and I would be shocked if he does not sell the stock asap. So number one pumper now gone until something changes.
chip sector in all areas just about hard hit last couple of days. Not sure why. I just read an article on the forecasts and it looked to peak this year in most areas. Found that a bit perplexing. Not clear what methodology was used. Any comments on this?
I think of xlnx as a well run company, but I suspect it will be dead in the water for some time.
I suggest Joe knows nothing and never will. Why is this idiot still on tv. does not speak well for cnbc.
you are pumping this everywhere, down 20% explain or else. long gone I am sure. when your in the mafia do you constantly fear for your life?
Anyone know the products well enough to understand why. Product transition, better products with other companies, PLD cycles, PLD's losing luster, losing big customer? The last article I read said PLD's are supposed to do well going forward. ALTR reports in a couple days may offer more insight, but anyone has insight would be appreciated. I suspect this is an xlnx issue but insight would be appreciated.
dead in the water the rest of the year.
actually you said to short at 3:00 pm and it rose about a point. Please explain.
