Shark, just wondering - what would be a "fair" tax rate for you? What about a "fair" rate for someone with a gross income of $300k, and for someone with gross income of $10 million.
This board has become about 70% spam over the past couple of months. I have put each author on Ignore, but they just keep coming. Apparently Yahoo doesn't really care. As a retired employee with significant holdings, it is very annoying.
Gorsky may have been picked by Weldon, but he is not Weldon. Gorsky is a change agent and will move mountains to get this company back on the right track.
I believe that the board is endorsing the ongoing issues and violations of the Credo by allowing Weldon to continue. The string of quality issues and recalls are not unrelated incidents, but indicative of system wide malfunctions which have not been addressed by management. The right answer is new leadership, from the outside, which has not been brought up within the Bill Weldon culture.
For now, my shares, gathered over a 20 year tenure at JNJ, are voted to replace the entire Board, including Weldon.
This ex employee with 20 years of service and a substantial number of shares will vote against the entire board this year.
I am a retired 20 year employee and a large holder of JNJ, but, it is difficult to make a case that the corporation has been well managed for the past 5 years.
