Maybe expenses are lower but this smells fishy. Perhaps weaker legal requirements being on the NASDAQ.

Excellent training at VTR...besides VTR did 1) not load down this company with Debt like HCP will do...and 2) it has an investment grade. Lewis is an experienced leader! The first year as a separate company is not even completed. Once the infrastructure is completed, watch out as I bet CCP will be another VTR but only in the SNH space....always a possibility in the Assisted Living space too.
Just bought at $28.25 today...I last sold it for $48...I think this is a bargain with with this ~50% off price from the highs...and the next divy to boot coming up soon!
Maybe we'll get a penny quarterly divy increase! Its only been 2 years since the last increase. I think us shareholders deserve an increase since our company had done so well!

NLY borrows short term so long as short and long term move up in unison...the larger the gap (spread) the better our returns. If short term drop and long term stays or goes further higher...better for us too.
I am sure NLY performed their DDs as to whether the deal will go through. HTS is basically adjustable mortgages not fixed rate as NLY does.
