Hancock did the demographic study..he knows were the demand origininates. The five sites they are not going to play are in dead areas but they were most likely world class hospitals or clinics.
New York. Flodida and Souther California. Wealth areas where the surgeons have a lot of weight (pun) behind them. Knudson knows we are going to kill bariatric and look at our poster boy Manant. And that woman at Scripps. That is real bariatric weight loss. It will take maybe months before the demand explodes. Their absolute focus on the reimbursement aspect is also remarkable. AS you and I have said the obesity arena is a show me area. The bombs from the pill makers make investors wary, but some of our top institutions added in Q4. We just need one or two others to add 6-8 Milion shares and I am sure that is going to happen. THis Weednesday is Cowen in Boston I think. They should get a great audience especially if Sikora is there.
My sister in law used my Chrome Pad in the islands..
Answer..New York...Forgot to change the address. Opinion of the start was mine after talking to the company. May 1 is eight weeks away. They have existing centers...They did not give me the exact date but from the conversation I feel it is sooner rather than later.
With the classes starting why would they wait with the exisiting docs. Remember they said it would take 1-2 days to get those sites up and running.
As usual Pharma those guys up there down play everything so they do not have to rescind comments, but they know the quicker they show revenue the sooner they can enlarge their footprint.
SIster in law is a shareholder and came out of the health business.
Her sister is a nurse anethesist and has seen the devastation of obesity. She is a shrareholder also. I hung the whole family out to dry!!!!!
Bariatric surgery is toast. Was told demand for the training class is great. The market for VBLoc in the U.S. is 25 million individuals. Just a matter of time. You and Biotia and a couple others are the only ones I do not have on ignore. I feel someone or group is sitting on the stock price.
Fracking just got a lot cheaper as the rig rent and sand and support expense fell 30%. But methanol is dead and I think they will shut it down. Methanol is trading at $250 a ton in china and I think SYMX wants out. Their expenses exceed their income. See last quarter. Focus will be off methanol.
Did you call them? I spoke with them. They gave NO PROJECTIONS. In the clinical trial they did 3-6 A DAY. They meant 3 a day per month. Get over it your short POS
The device does not cost $5000....Call the company they will tell you. And the Webinair is a phone call not a sit down. There could be 2000 people on the call. Please do some DD before you say anything
A point of clarification from the earlier comment about 3 procedures a month. The centers will do 3 procedures a day once they are qualified. If Knudson mentioned that in the call it was an error. I suspect each center will have multiple surgeons and my original estimate of early on demand of 50 a month at each center by Q4 still stands and I think it low. With a May start date on the 8 centers I assume cash flow will commence in August.
My only problem I see if the training of the new surgeons in the procedure. I will call the company to see if I can get a clarification. Obvious the more we train the more everybody succeeds.
Seriously jp....Don't you think that was low ball?? The Mayo will do 3 a month???? Like I said above, there are 25,000,000 U.S. citizens that qualify for bariatric and only 1% actually have it done. That is a company number from an old conference. That is the target. They are really on top of the reimbursement theme and my guess is they are focused on private insurers.
So many people on this board listen to the dopes and then take a guess at what a lot of us others are saying. GO TO THE SOURCE. Call the company. I did and I am even more bullish than I was a week ago. One executive called VBLOC " disruptive technology." It is going to be a huge deal but it will take longer than the 3 months some idiots on this MB expect.
They also realize capital is vital and they focus on it. It pays to get the company going and the sales accelerated. I am sure they will keep us on page 1 as the business progresses. The hardest thing was FDA approval. With all the media we received the word is out.
Ignore those schitte heads...we need a better place to talk...I do not disclose a lot when I speak to the company...Figure out a way
Who gives a schitte right now. Did you use your pea brain and call the company to see if the window was open for purchases??? But don't bother stupid, annual options are awarded soon and they will get rewarded for their work.
Bio I saw that also and it only reinforces my feeling and yours and Pharmas that the electroceutical market for approved products is going to explode, The device MDT bought serves a smaller older population and they bought it. Our device has a market of 250 million worldwide. You can see from Pharmas post about the new sales hires that ETRM is serious. It is amazing the stock just sits here but it shows you how stupid the market can sometimes be.
