Strange how the Pozen employees posting on this board disappear when the stock starts to drag....
Update on short position: Stock moving according to plan. Will double short position if stock breaks below 11.00.
As if anyone would trade based upon something Hofno would write, really.
Even Hofno recognized my message as humor.
If you can't recognize satire you're not bright enough to be trading stocks..... Keep your money in your piggy bank.
Hi K10martin, Since you are interested in how my short position is doing, I just wanted to give you today's update: Doing just fine, still within trade parameters, shorted at 11.70, will cover IF stock hits $13., will double short position if stock trades under $11.00. Were you able to go short at $11.90 when you posted your message? Hope so for you :)
Hofno, I see your point! Based upon what you just wrote, I closed out my short position and went long 20K shares of POZN! I just can't wait until POZn makes me really, really, rich ( instead of just being really rich ). Don't worry, be happy!
Congratulations - you can do arithmetic. that doesn't make the numbers so. Every investment firm can analyze this stock to the nth degree - to a level retail investors can't. If the numbers were really expected to be what you write, then the funds would have bought this stock up and the stock would be $20 right now. Sorry, but the funds see the same problems I do.
Hi K10Martin. Thanks for your interest in my short position. I originally shorted 20K shares at 11.70 and if you would please re-read my posts I mentioned my stop was placed at $13. I also mentioned I would double my short position if Pozen dropped below 11 - still waiting on that. At this point everything is within the parameters of the trade. Looks like you can get a slightly better price to short than I did - good eye!
"At least on this board". What kind of comment is that?
I'm only on this board now because I see a wonderful shorting opportunity. I don't hang around message boards to chat while a stock meanders up and down - I'm here to capitalize on an opportunity. If you want to make some money hop on board this SHORT train. ( I won't even ask for thanks when you've made a ton of money with your short.)
Rex, looks like your analysis is spot on. You must be looking back at the previous break-out and seeing the drop in follow-on volume. If the stock drops below $11/share I'll be doubling my short position.
You're wrong. yesterday's high was 11.73. Check what time I posted my message on this board and what the price of Pozen stock was. They match up. You could have shorted POZN at that price too if you had read my post earlier. Sounds like got a case of "sore loser" - better go buy some Yosprala to get over the pain.
Remember, I also said I set my stop at $13/share. If you longs can push it over that price you got my money. But is that really going to happen? Hmmmm....
You longs have finally convinced me - you're on this board slapping each other on the back, gloating about profits that haven't been booked, sipping beer you haven't paid for.
Definitely a sign you've over estimated the value of this stock. And because of this, I am officially short this stock at $11.70.
If you can get the stock over $13./share then you beat me. Otherwise, you longs are the ones that need to prove that this stock is anything other than a pump and dump ponzi scheme run by the execs of POZEN....
That's exactly what I think the execs of POZN would try. It might also explain all those green tanks lined up on Pozen's loading dock.
O.K. - Here's a recap - POZEN dropped from $12.50 to less than $10, then bounced up to just over $11. This feels like it is the end of this dead cat bounce, now back to the downside.
Also, what better way to burn all of those $11 and $12 call option buyers - over 5000 options ( that's options on 500000 shares ) that will expire worthless when POZEN closes this Friday under $11/share....
O.k., which one of you wisecrackers said the company's stock symbol sounds like POISON when you pronounce it out loud? Doesn't sound like a great choice for a drug company.... Just sayin'
Can anyone help me out? I spilled some coffee on a page in my trading notebook. Does anyone have the closing price for POZN stock for June 22, 2015? Would you please post it as a response? Thanks!
Your thinking is convoluted. If two companies combine and add their revenues together it does not create shareholder value. If it did every company would merge with every other company until there was just one company left.
As for a broad product pipeline - those drugs in the pipeline have already been priced into the stock price. A new, previously un-announced drug would add to stock value.
The price of this stock has doubled in just a little over 30 days based upon emotions not facts. Can't you see the mistakes in the reasoning? Combining the companies might reduce overhead expenses, but there is nothing new to add to the revenue side that isn't already known. If the cost-cutting occurs it might add $1.00 to the price of the shares for a value of about $7.
Crabdippers, I agree with you 100% even if you are only using a stock trading "hunch". There is nothing new here when these companies combine except for possible cost-cutting.
Here you go Hofno2,
U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(1-888-463-6332). Ask for James Hartson and tell him what you posted on this board - that POZEN is selling Yosprala NOW. ( Is POZEN really selling Yosprala NOW? This is worse than I thought . )
Oh, not NO but NOW. Got it. In that case call the FDA to shut down POZN because the drug is not approved for sale NOW.
You're welcome for the smiles and laughs. You can pay me back by telling everyone on this board the truth - that you are actually shorting POZN and you are using the "bounces" to short more shares. You are a clever fox!
Please re-read your post. Not sure it makes any sense: "No" we are going to sell Yospara.
1.) You are a prescriber? What's a prescriber? Do you mean you're a medical doctor that can prescribe prescription medicine? Yeah, right - you and my grand mother. How many "prior authorizations" will it take to make Yosprala a successful drug? More than can be bought by Pozen and their co-pay supplements can afford.
2.) The recent quarter for Deuxis and Vimovo is less than $10 million ( prove me wrong ). And you think Yosprala will top both of those drugs by 1000%?
3.) Shareholders such as yourself should be angry that the execs of POZEN are robbing shareholders with the amount of money they are paying themselves. You are hoping the stock goes up to make up for their greed. You would root for a bank robber as long as he gave you a small cut.
4.) You Sir, are the one talking dumb. You bought this stock and are holding it while it has declined almost 20% in the last week. Had you sold it last week when it was $12.50 you would have over $2.00 more per share than you have today! There is no reason that the stock has gone up from $6.00 to $12.50 and reality will soon prove that out.
5.) If you do not like to hear the truth, quit reading my posts. Other shareholders are quite interested in learning things that may have over-looked. I am sure that many of them have dumped this stock because of what they have read here.
