Don't others get tired of Netflix after a few months? I had mine for about a year. There's only so much to watch. You get tired of it. There are probably some hidden gems, but it's hard to find them. Every time I log in I see the same movies being recommended. It's kinda like Amazon (which I had before).
The problem with Netflix is that they're concentrating too much on new markets rather than spending on tech to improve their system. Dropping cable and DirecTV is starting to catch on, and people are looking for online content. Live TV broadcasts are starting to gain traction. Tivo DVR's are also gaining traction. Netflix will need to expand into it's services here in the U.S. rather than stay still and just expand into new markets.
I'm not going for the China hype as many in China download movies illegally since intellectual property isn't protected. Why pay for Netflix in China?
Currently, I pay $15/month for Tivo service. I hadn't watched anything on Netflix for the past month cause I was just tired of it. I think most long time subscribes keep it just because it's cheap, but don't really watch it.
