TU WEIN Technology sounds like game changer for P2G

    byecell ,Great Find..

Hydrogen makes the natural gas network greener.

Hydrogen from the natural gas pipeline – a separation technique developed by TU Wien is opening up new possibilities for our natural gas network and improves the ecological balance of hydrogen fuel cells.

Our natural gas network is taking on an additional role. In future it will transport hydrogen as well as natural gas. Hydrogen can be mixed with conventional natural gas and filtered out again using a process developed at TU Wien, retaining a purity of 99.97%, which means it can then be used directly for fuel cells. This technology is now being presented to an audience of industry specialists at the Hannover Messe trade fair.

    Storing and transporting energy

Hydrogen is a valuable source of energy. It is becoming increasingly important, primarily because it enables excess electrical energy from renewable energy sources to be stored. Electrical energy for households, hospitals or entire communities can then be produced in large fuel cells, smaller fuel cells can be used to power motor vehicles. However, there is not yet a comprehensive network of hydrogen filling stations. "There are two options available: either directly source the hydrogen locally by means of electrolysis or have it delivered, e.g. in large pressurised tanks," explains Michael Harasek.

Decentralised electrolysis is very expensive, not particularly efficient and it requires powerful electric connecting cables. Transporting hydrogen in tankers is equally time-consuming and costly. But what if we could transport hydrogen using a system that already has ample capacity and is in top working condition? As Michael Harasek explains: "

    ItIhp ,

In my opinion Hydrogenics management has performed very-well up to this point. Looking at Hydrogenics diversified product line compared too the rest of the Fuel Cell companies,Hydrogenics is unparalleled . Let's all of us understand at this time that Hydrogenics has painted a great picture with great products up-to this point , unfortunately the brush is no-longer in there hands anymore to complete theirs/ ours destiny .

    ltlhp . I'am surprised by your sentiment rating as a Hold , looking at a split 3 / 1 over $40.00 .

The global hydrogen generation market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 5.2% during the forecast period to reach USD 152.09 Billion by 2021.

This growth is attributed to high demand for hydrogen as a cleaner fuel, government regulations for desulfurization of petroleum products, and decreasing crude oil quality. Hydrogen has potential applications in chemical processing, petroleum recovery and refining, metal production and fabrication, aerospace, and fuel cells.

The report segments the hydrogen generation market on the basis of technology, generation & delivery mode, application, and region. The demand for hydrogen is the largest in petroleum refinery and ammonia production. During petroleum refining, hydrogen is used for desulfurization, and thus, the requirement for hydrogen in refineries depends on the sulfur level present in petroleum products. Governments are regulating sulfur content in final petroleum products, hence; the demand for hydrogen generation is increasing.

Some of the leading players in the hydrogen generation market include Linde AG (Germany), Air Liquide SA (France), Air Products & Chemicals Inc. (U.S.), Praxair Inc. (U.S.), Airgas Inc. (U.S.), and Hydrogenics Corp. (Canada) among others. Contracts & agreements was the most commonly used strategy by top players in the market, constituting more than one-third of the total developments share. It was followed by expansions, mergers & acquisitions, and new product launches.

  • Zacks 4/11/2016
HYGS, a manufacturer of hydrogen generation products, is a company that could be an interesting play for investors. That is because, not only does the stock have decent short-term momentum, but it is seeing solid activity on the earnings estimate revision front as well.

These positive earnings estimate revisions suggest that analysts are becoming more optimistic on HYGS’s earnings for the coming quarter and year. In fact, consensus estimates have moved sharply higher for both of these time frames over the past four weeks, suggesting that Hydrogenics could be a solid choice for investors.

    Current Quarter Estimates for HYGS:
In the past 30 days, 1 estimate has gone higher for Hydrogenics while no estimates have gone lower in the same time period. The trend has been pretty favorable too, with estimates narrowing from a loss of 22 cents per share 30 days ago, to a loss of 21 cents today, a move of 4.5%.

    Bottom Line:
The stock has also started to move higher lately, adding 10.7% over the past four weeks, suggesting that investors are starting to take note of this impressive story. So investors may definitely want to consider this Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) stock to profit in the near future.

HyBalance Project Breaks Ground on New Facility In Denmark Today...

  • One of Europe's most advanced hydrogen plants will be built in Denmark. Now hydrogen will move wind power to the transport sector.

Air Liquide, Hydrogenics, LBST, Neas Energy, Hydrogen Valley / Cemtec and European Joint Technology Initiative have signed an agreement to establish one of Europe's largest plants for the production of hydrogen, based on wind power.

The project is budgeted at EUR 15 million and has received EUR 2.6 million in support from the Danish ForskEL program administered by the Danish TSO Energinet.dk, as well as EUR 8 million from the EU's Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking 2.

    Development of key technologies
The HyBalance project will validate the highly dynamic PEM electrolysis technology and innovative hydrogen delivery processes involved but also demonstrate these in a real industrial environment by applying the latest hydrogen production and delivery equipment. The HyBalance setting is unique in demonstrating the multiple applications of Power-to-Gas technologies, including how hydrogen can be used in multiple high value markets such as industry and clean transportation, and the project will provide business models for these applications.

Hydrogenics’ PEM electrolysis technology will be deployed at the project site in Hobro, Denmark to produce hydrogen from excess wind-generated energy; the 1MW PEM electrolyzer will also enable grid balancing services. The hydrogen will then be stored and transported either by pipeline for industrial applications or by advanced, high pressure trailers and used in fueling applications in Denmark.

  • This is because this security in the Other Alternative Energy space is seeing solid earnings estimate revision activity, and is in great company from a Zacks Industry Rank perspective.

This is important because, often times, a rising tide will lift all boats in an industry, as there can be broad trends taking place in a segment that are boosting securities across the board. This is arguably taking place in the Other Alternative Energy space as it currently has a Zacks Industry Rank of 70 out of more than 250 industries, suggesting it is well-positioned from this perspective, especially when compared to other segments out there.

In fact, over the past month, current quarter estimates have narrowed from a loss of 26 cents per share to a loss of 21 cents per share, while current year estimates have narrowed from a loss of 34 cents per share to a loss of 30 cents per share. This has helped HYGS to earn a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), further underscoring the company’s solid position.

So, if you are looking for a decent pick in a strong industry, consider Hydrogenics. Not only is its industry currently in the top third, but it is seeing solid estimate revisions as of late, suggesting it could be a very interesting choice for investors seeking a name in this great industry segment.

I'am not saying anything in the article that is promoting any of Hydrogenics technology . I only posted this too show that Korea's future is gearing-up and focusing on Fuel Cells regardless of what industry, Kolon will play a big part in this transformation .

I'am not sure who will be building the stacks for the buses . Proterra stands as one of the bus companies and I'am sure there's others.

  • with Hydrogen-Powered Buses..March 18, 2016

The government will replace some 26,000 compressed natural gas buses nationwide with hydrogen-electric vehicles in cooperation with Hyundai to promote the technology.

The government will allow existing filling and gas stations to set up hydrogen fuel pumps and encourage companies to develop major parts for hydrogen vehicles such as measurement sensors and hydrogen storage tanks.

The plans follow auto industry requests for deregulation's of the hydrogen energy industry.

Looks like Korea's direction in Fuel Cells is full speed ahead , maybe they can sell there compressed natural gas buses to the US ?

Hydrogenics is seeing favorable earnings estimate revision activity as of late, which is generally a precursor to an earnings beat. After all, analysts raising estimates right before earnings—with the most up-to-date information possible—is a pretty good indicator of some favorable trends underneath the surface for HYGS .
