Is that investor relations? Maybe they are inviting me to the annual meeting in S.D., I hope they have free products as refreshments!
Did any shareholders here receive a postcard with the MJNA logo on the front stating that there is important infornation about the stock from GH Investment Advisors? The green postcard says I should contact them immediately, but I haven't called yet. Does anyone know what it's about? Thx,
That's what I miss about investing in an open end fund, you can buy as many shares as you want before the close and not worry about getting filled.
Bagman, if the dividend is lowered, and we get the 6's or lower on big volume, time to pull the trigger, right? I have a funny story for you, as I was watching Johnny Miller putt on the green at the Buick Classic, I dropped something, so he stopped his putting motion to watch me pick it up, so when I finally straighten up and ask my friend why Miller didn't putt yet, my friend said, "because he was staring at you, dummy! " We both cracked up. Another time I was playing with my brother and we had to delay our game to let Willie Mays and his golfing buddies through.
But this time NCZ isn't earning the entire dividend. Was the dividend being earned the other times the premium disappeared? Bagman gives good insight into this fund and was right on the mark regarding the discount when others said it would never happen. My money is on Bagman, lol. Kidshelleen, I know you are an experienced dividend investor, did you pick up any NCZ/NCV at these bargain prices? If the divi gets lowered next time these prices might not be so cheap. What is your take on NCZ/NCV?
Bagman, you are totally awesome, I must say you made a good call on NCZ, you are the only one who predicted the discount and NCZ trading in the 6's, and we probably will see the 6's this week. Cramer is saying don't buy this dip because another one is coming.....
Enter Taper Tantrum in your search engine and you will see all the articles about it.Did you go to cash to wait out the downturn like you were thinking about doing?
I read all posts here all the time and learn a great deal, thx. One thing I'm not clear on is regarding DNP and spending the dividends instead of doing the DRIP. I remember buyandwin saying to do the DRIP and get the 5% discounted shares and sell them later at the higher market price, I get it. Another poster said that spending the dividend and not doing the DRIP makes DNP not such a good investment. Why not?
I've made quite a few bad investing decisions, they are hard to live with, so this time I'm being extra cautious, almost to the point where I'm afraid to do anything, lol. GLTA
of the price rebound to the upside the last few days? Do you think it's time to get in before the premium comes back...or wait until the Fed meeting on rate hike in case these high yield funds get a knee jerk reaction to the downside? I'm looking for some guidance here, can't seem to decide between NCZ, NCV, DNP, or PHT for monthly retirment income, really not looking to DRIP at this point, I just want spendable income.
What about the 14.59% DNP premium? Why isn't it worth waiting for the premium to drop? I remember when DNP was about $10.30 a few months back and the premium was about 3%,, but I didn't think it would bottom there.
The bid (39,300 @ $10.50) was on Yahoo last night at the close, too bad it wasn"t you, lol. It looks like many investors are waiting for the knee jerk reaction from the Fed announcement (like realto mentioned in his post) to get lower prices before they jump in, at least that's what I've been reading on the boards with interest sensitive funds. I'm waiting for the Fed move before I invest.
