Stable interest rates and spreads will change the valuation for all reits moving them from discounts to BV to premiums to BV. I expect a 30% - 40% increase in valuations for reits, including NYMT. This being said, the management is being irresponsible and not acting in the best interest of shareholders as they feather their own nest before increasing payouts.

I doubt that most products that try to go to market in Japan have the body of trial data from the FDA and EMEA that Arikayce has. Phase 2 & Phase 3 completions, cure rates, safety, duration of use, lack of options, etc. Why would they not partner with a Japanese pharma sooner than later - who is also wired into China and South East Asia where these respiratory problems are vaulting. I hope they aren't tip toeing around the FDA for fear of getting their nose out of joint.

China, Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Israel, Cyprus, Britain, New Zealand, Nigeria, etc. All of these countries and many more have multi-billion barrel fields either going into or ramping up production and rigs. And, SDRL has the most productive rigs in the world, almost all of which is leased through 2016. What a bunch of clowns.

Hopefully you are a tad low. There should be zero loss on the nav, leverage should have increased which should have increased their net interest income, hedges were likely reduced which lowered costs, etc. But, I've been fooled before.

I think that sell in May and go away started in February this year and we will see a rolling correction. Biotech and tech were taken down first. Next comes transports. Reits and energy stocks will continue to rise through August and possibly yearend. Consumer durables will get taken down by mid-summer as the economy continues to flail around and food inflation continues to bite on household budgets. Health care will continue to be a train wreck and worsen when double digit rate hikes are pre-announced in Q3 further suppressing household budgets. Housing is already going into reverse with big declines already in buyer interest, builder sentiment (negative) and new construction permits.

.1% - $100 trade would cost ten cents. $1,000 trade would cost $1. But, if some HFT decided to buy and then sell INSM 1,000 times in 10 minutes to capture $.05 per trade they would make $50 on the trades but have to pay $15 (at a $15 share price) in transaction taxes and lose 30% of their profits. If they only make $,01 per trade they would lose $5 on the trades. You should also watermark the shares so shares had to be available to short or buy and any simultaneous duplication would be disallowed.

She needs to go to jail as does anyone else involved in this. The Senate will go Republican next year and investigations will then escalate as Harry Reid will be sent to an office by the men's room in the basement never to be heard from again. Angus King (Independent - Maine) has already indicated he will likely caucus with the Republicans next term. Joe Mansion (Democrat - West Virginia) will likely change parties. And, Republicans will take at least 7 additional Senate seats. I expect a move to impeach Eric Holder, bills passed quickly to restrict Executive overreach, investigations into other departments to escalate and Hillary to attack the current administration on foreign policy, the economy, executive overreach and the size of government. She will sound more like a republican than the Republican candidate (She's a blue dog Democrat and not liberal by any means.) If she wins, she will start cutting deals immediately with the Republicans just like Bill did. If she does not run Republicans will take the presidency and the process to clean out political operatives in every government department will begin, the sequester will be in force with more spending flexibility to the departments, the tax code will be simplified, thousands of executive orders will be rescinded, the EPA will be reigned in, Government employment will be cut, government unions will get hammered, and on, and on. this fiasco we have going in Washington needs to end.

Well, the numbers are in. The MM shorted 71,000 shares today to knock the price down. There is no doubt the MM is at the heart of this price manipulation. This is why MM's need to be done away with completely. They work for the big banks and hedge funds now and hurt retail shareholders.

My bet, 50,000 to 100,000 shares. Government sanctioned criminal activity as we see a never ending stream of SEC employees take jobs with hedge funds and banks.

Abolish HFT and you solve half of the problems. Put a .1% transaction tax on the buy or sell and the problem goes away. Pass a regulation that market makers are subject to the same rules as the rest of us and prices will rise.

Material events must be made public - good or bad. This one is good. I do not believe that any non-regulated event takes priority over mandated disclosure of material events.

This is a material event that should have been released to the public. Why in the world would they elect not to do so? A quiet period is mandated by the SEC for certain things. If there is a "quiet period" it has nothing to do with SEC regulations.

I believe it is banned through Thursday, so no more this week. We also had the lowest short ratio I have seen yet on this stock - about 13%. The reversal started almost exactly when shorting was restricted. I do agree that we have mindless selling by institutions exacerbated by the shorting that's been going on.
