I have loss a lot of money over the last decade with INSM. I did not follow Zip advice and buy at four. This year long position at $18.95 I am up 2% but alrady in the hole in 2015 by 30% because of my January short call to $7, but like all bios, I lose money. Look at my AMLN and VRNG losses.

"North of $90 " ? Im all for $90!. I know that price will bring a buyer and allow everyone huge profits and I may be able to break even here final....If I would have listened to ZIP I would already be up 400% I know you will do what's best but I just need $90 per share to break even on my short position I blew here. More than anything, I regret wasting every day here 24/7 being wrong. Good Luck

Terry is an illiterate moron who has no ability to write in full sentences and barely speaks English. Aside from being a complete schizo he's likely a totally worthless human being as well. He will not answer you becauae he doesn't know basic grammar or spelling.

  • BV increased $.21 last month. Now trading at a 15% discount to BV. We also know income is vaulting. We should exceed $26 BV by the end of the quarter and $27.50 to $28 by yearend. There will be no rate hike this year. Retail numbers absolutely stink - three consecutive months of decline. Look for a fourth decline in retail sales in March. AGNC is undervalued by 15% minimum.

Would someone with a short position do this to take some of the sting out of covering? Just curious.

My guess is that whoever is actively gaming the stock is playing the long game. They played the "take it down hard" game to get rid of any margin owners, weak hands and end of year window dressing funds. Now they're playing the reverse - take it up and then pin it at the end of the quarter to pick up shares from fund managers doing quarterly window dressing or rebalancing into Q2. It will be interesting to see what happens when the indexes start their rebalancing towards the summer. The question is who is trying to keep a lid on the share price and why? These shorts are all under water now, some by a huge amount. Do big pharmas do this kind of thing with acquisition targets?

I don't think they want to sell but I do think they have been approached. They are clearly on the radar. We hear a lot about various big pharma as potential suitors, but what about the big biotechs? Why not them?

46.5 million shares owned by institutions, insiders.management and the strategic owner that they won't disclose (1 million shares). Clearly one or more of the institutional investors is shorting their own shares or allowing their shares to be shorted. It's the only place the 2.75 million extra shorted shares can come from. The institutions would have to allow these shares to be shorted. For what reason they would do this is unknown. On the flip side, if they could create a heck of a short squeeze if they covered their own shorts or discontinued the allowance of shorting of their shares by others.

The crack spread is now over $20. Refineries price to the high end of the spread and pocket the difference. Look at NTi. They are printing money right now and will likely hit a 16% distribution this year.

Trading continues until the company is delisted and the acquisition is complete. Shareholders always vote on buyouts.

    Back to the top:
We have a patented and superior inhaler, we have a patented and superior liposome technology that will be merged with any number of drugs for many indications, we have a patented and superior product (Iplex) for short stature which can be back in-market October, 2017, we have 17 years of exclusivity for NTM treatment, our liposome technology can be integrated with any number of big pharma drugs to create a new product and restart the patent exclusivity clock (postponing generic competition or massive price cuts and we have Arikace for CF and possible TB. We have also been told they expect to have four different products in-market by 2018. We have a big winner, plain and simple.

Well if in FACT there could be 3 suitors (and Shire makes 4), WL's stance of going alone is excellent posturing. IF that is occurring, the BO offer will exceed $3B (now we are about $1B Mkt Cap). Right now Insmed is on the verge of owning the NTM market but let's not rule out other possible benefits (CF etc.). I do not think the BOD (added experienced members in the last year) of Insmed will entertain anything less than $3B ($60/shr) so, maybe nothing happens for awhile. In the meantime, PJ (Schimmer) reiterated $51 PT and Janney started with $33/shr a month ago. If Cowen (Baral) upgrades to $35/shr, then the $20's should remain unless Nasdaq/BIOS take another dump. The main thing is we are WAY better off than a year ago. - justarook04

The company dictates the price or goes it alone - with assorted partnerships. Personally this is my preference. They will not sell for a fraction of the value a few years down the road.

I just noticed that the PIP for NTM has trial data extrapolated from CF instead of doing a trial. For the PDCO to accept this seems to indicate a favorable predisposition towards NTM...just more credence to a favorable view by the EMA for the joint filing. -Biowatchdog
