When PPL spins off its competitive generation into Riverstone's assets and forms Talen....will current PPL stock holders get shares of Talen? And will we still own shares of the regulated PPL.....or will our shares remain the same or some combination of the two companies.
As you can see I'm confused....they recently buy regulated UK generation capacity and now spin it off after taking on that kind of debt.....I guess it makes sense if you want to grow generation capacity in Texas where demand is growing.

Called investor relations.....we will have the exact number of PPL shares as we own now....but with the competitive portion of PPL energy excluded. So it's common sense to expect PPL to be reduced proportionately....but the $1.49 dividend is safe until the transaction completes....then The CEO would like to continue to increase it.....hmmm. Our new Talon shares will be distributed prorated. They do not have the formula at this time. It's supposed to be growth stock....so IMHO I think this will work out well for existing PPL share holders.
