  • Biggest pumper on the board when things were going great. Has he been heard from since the 40% haircut in 3 weeks?

Emory, ignore the cheerleader. He couldn't SPELL business plan, much less write one. He continues to give the clueless ceo a free pass. Naaaahhhh, we don't want to have product in key retail channels like TB!!! Meanwhile, they continue to kick our teeth down our throats. What in the world do we need Best Buy and Walmart for, we have Gameshark!!!

Have a good trip. I'll watch their earnings from the sidelines on May 1, but I sure don't have the confidence in them that you do...

Tabby, you should really stop giving price targets. Last April you were predicting at $10-12 stock price for HTCH. That pos has gone nowhere. You clearly fall in love with your picks and have far more patience than most. Which means your lost opportunity costs are huge.

Amazon today announced their new Fire TV prodict. Available for it is a game controller made by Madcatz, an Immersion licensee. Perhaps this controller, which will sell a lot of units, has a rumble/dualshock-like feature, meaning per-unit royalties for Immersion.

Incidentally, Madcatz, a .48 cent stock today, might not be a .48 cent stock much longer as this news broke tonight.

Sally had one key priority today- to convince the anayst community that she could continue to drive the sales growth through some combination of untapped US locations (like Boston), overseas locations, and Pizza Rev. Based on the stock today, she dropped the ball.

Today is their annual analyst day. Based on this trading, I would presume there are again concerns that growth is slowing.

All this max pain garbage is a waste. Last week's MP number was $24. How did that work out? End of story.

Marnis, with all the connectivity issues you seem tobhave, perhaps it's time to upgrade from the 14.4 modem and Prodigy internet service :)

I agree, Big4. Hopefully this week will silence all these max pain morons for good. Unless we get a $2 rally in the next hour....

All this talk about dram pricing weakness while Micron and Sandisk are cancelling them out with bit cost reductions. Yet NOBODY mentions the Elpida impact of MILLIONS of new Apple products that will be sold this q3 and q4. Or the impact of MILLIONS of existing iPhones currently being sold in China when NONE were being sold just 3 months ago. Micron's purchase of Elpida and entry into the Apple supply chain in a big way is the single biggest reason Micron will be a $35 stock by September.

Ignore the noise. Even better, back up the truck and buy as much as you can afford and forget about it.

Maybe the stock has lost 25% of its value because the masses are starting to realize that the company hasn't earned a dime of net profit in 5 years. That the esteemed new CEO never talks of anything except "adjusted ebitda", which is another way of saying "NO REAL PROFIT". Even their guidance NEVER speaks of actually turning a true, net profit. Nor do they explain how selling off the distribution division which is 80% of their company revenues will leave enough gross profit dollars to cover their expense structure. And once again next month, the same sheep analysts on the call will ask every asenine question except the only one that matters- "Any idea when we can finally expect to see a net profit?"

Caff, you nailed this one. You have been saying for months that Himax' stock price was intertwined with Glass, and any hiccup would cause a huge drop in HIMX. Well, Google continues to take its sweet time to ensure its launch is not a bomb, and the analysts are now calling LCOS a 2015 story. As they always say, the bigger the pump, the bigger the dump. Ouch.

Also, the Taiwan currency is at its highest level in months, now over $30.60 to the dollar. If that holds for 10 more days, we'll have a nice forex gain to offset some of the higher taxes and NCI effects. Finally, I;m surprised we haven't risen on the Digitimes story on Micron sending more business to Taiwan.

Just a matter of time. 8150 is number one on the exchange tonight in both share volume and dollar volume. I would expect that will continue until the IPO, and that NT $40 will be surpassed within a few days.

Marnis, I agree with your points, but I have two concerns. First, this conversion might not happen very quickly. If I am not mistaken, SJ did not even want to confirm that it would occur during 2014 on the call. The way this company does everything at a snail's pace will not help. Second, I am baffled why all the recent volume in IMOST trading has not resulted in a higher price. Common sense says there would not be too many willing sellers a month before an IPO, resulting in an order imbalance and rapid share price increase when volume rises. Volume has soared the past few sessions with little price movement, in fact down a tad. If this is how Taiwan trading works, and we're about to become a "quasi" arbitrage play of IMOST, this is concerning.

Russ, you keep pounding this Intel story, but I just don't see it. The stock has been basically dead money for 3 years. Their decisions not go heavy in Mobile phones really set them back. In some respects, they're becoming as disappointing as Cisco. Great volume, great market share, but nothing for the shareholders. I guess options costing .37 cents don't have much risk, but I just don't see the turnaround. Best of luck to you, and thanks for all your great Micron work.

Jaret, I've never heard the local Ponderosa described quite that way. I told you the Silent One throws nickels around like they're manhole covers! Seriously, though, anyone driving through Toledo on I-75 should check out Mancy's.

Yes, today was a bit disappointing. Perhaps some of these analyst upgrades will hit the wire in the morning and make for a better day. Thanks to Caff for pulling the non-GAAP earnings out of management, but unfortunately the masses do not listen to the call. Our management team, while doing a great job of running the company, sure need help when it comes to framing good news. Thay have definitely improved, but work is still needed. All in all, 2013 was a real solid year, and 2014 is off to an even better start.
