I've identified myself many times as a current employee from Miami in my third decade with JCPenney as a team leader defending what is right for my company. If I had any inside information I would never divulge it, but your refusal to identify yourself as an associate is troubling. It's obvious you're trying to cast JCPenney in as positive of light as possible, but the way you do it makes us look stupid. You can post positive information and suggestions on here all day long about our company and no one will do anything. Naturally you can't state you should buy or sell our stock at a given price, but you can reference analysts calls, upgrades, or downgrades, etc., Anything that's public knowledge can be repeated on this or any other board.
I posted this some time ago but I think it applies even more now

What we learned today is what most people already knew. Short investors try to manipulate the market with fabricated nonsense. You guys have some stones to call out anyone with the horse manure you try slap together. A rumor a day makes you guys look silly and naive.
The "big" story last week " Fake Prices", copied and posted here by idiot poster 'retay101' turned out to be false. In fact you guys were educated today that it was the vendors who suggested putting the value on our price tags. In your haste to smear, you forgot to consider the source, and worst of all you forgot to DD. Rookie mistakes. You guys should try to take emotion out of your posts so as to be credible again. Remember it's not how much you post, it's what you post.
I was waiting on Ron to mention the nearly $1B and self funded transformation. He did, and like a balloon filled with air and then released, another "fake" talking point quickly fizzled out.
You also were educated today on what I already told you, in that we would return to growth in 2013. Growth will be enhanced mid March then a big impact by May when a division will be completed that looks shockingly good. You were told this but you guys are in la la land and in love with each other.
And you guys stop with the 'fake' shock and awe with our layoffs. You know as well as I do it's a win win for the company. As fringe brands go away there is less work for them to do. Also there is too many people doing the same job and only the best will be staying. Insert disgruntled.
I had to laugh at the poster who would like to be our new CEO. You've been offering your advice on jcp but you admitted you haven't stepped foot in our stores in years. May I suggest you first visit the retailer before you offer your expert investing advice on this board.
You can't be the real thing, since you're not smart enough to figure out that would not be a question in a court of law. Maybe you need to look up the definition of a deposition.
Let's take a journey into that paranoid world of yours where every new poster is MV. You could tell in a heartbeat if he or anyone else is an associate of JCPenney. If they will not advise you on a buy or sell price, they're probably an associate. Reason being, if for any reason posts from this board would be subpoenaed for any court action, like our serial slip and fall sue happy GB does, then JCPenney could be held liable for their actions, and potentially responsible for any losses. You'll notice I never post anything that is not information available to the general public. So, to set your mind at ease simply monitor posters that talk in vague generalities but will not post their buys and sells.
No one ever accused you of being exceptionally bright, but thought at least you would check that the poster is the real deal or an off the wall fake. You can tell how popular someone is by how often they are imitated. I think we all know by now which poster creates the most ID's and plays the most games. Loud and Proud since 2012 is my motto. I'm just enjoying hanging around to see how right RJ was in the first place. How's all those coupon clippers doing for your bottom line? LOL
As I've said before, all the men want to be like me and all the women just want me.
Didn't scare anyone unless you looked in a mirror.
Every company gets those silly class action lawsuits. That's partly why they all have a legal department. They're actually glad when some cockroach comes out of the woodwork, it gives them something to do. There are all types of cuckoos out there that would rather sue for money than work for it. Sound like anyone we know?
Geez that's exactly what my contact said.
I told you, don't even insinuate I'm anybody's inside information. Deleting this post won't do any good, I'll just put it back up.
Don't have too much time for posting this AM. Have to go to work today. You know what work is don't you Bob? That's what you do to make money when you're not suing somebody.
Your post smacks of jealousy that I was right and you were wrong.
Personally I like the new board format. My impersonators seem to have gone into hiding since it's harder to impersonate legitimate posters. Bet you're sorry to see JCPenney doing so well without you and the turnaround being on track. Survival of this company is no longer an issue and apparently your buddy R seems to have gone into hiding ashamed at being so wrong for so long. I think my batting average just went up to about .600. These days it's harder to find stories for retayl101 to COPY and PASTE that paint JCPenney in a negative light. And rather than being humiliated and being fearful that his batting average will continue to go down, he chose to opt out. I don't post as much anymore since things are going well. I believe a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised this earning report.
(As these truths are revealed, it upsets some investors and some misguided, bitter, morally-challenged, perhaps even jealous ("85")
I keep hearing about all these frauds you're going to expose to the public, but haven't seen anything to back it up. I don't know what monies that have been "stolen" from JCPenney customers, but I can assure you it hasn't gone on in any of my stores(I'm guessing it hasn't gone on in any others either). Not giving a sale price unless asked is not illegal, and only good business practices. If I know sheets are probably going on sale in January(since they have a white sale every year) and I don't mention it to you when you're shopping in October, I fail to see how that's cheating anyone. Anytime I've seen the company made aware of a questionable practice, generally a company wide bulletin is issued ASAP and the problem addressed. I've never received any instruction or prompting from anyone at any time to treat our customers as any less than the treasure they are.
Maybe "slip n fall bob" is talking about another company he's wanting to sue.
Nobody losing it here, except maybe you!! I wouldn't expect someone like you to have even the faintest clue of what I was talking about.
