Didn't scare anyone unless you looked in a mirror.

Every company gets those silly class action lawsuits. That's partly why they all have a legal department. They're actually glad when some cockroach comes out of the woodwork, it gives them something to do. There are all types of cuckoos out there that would rather sue for money than work for it. Sound like anyone we know?

Geez that's exactly what my contact said.

I told you, don't even insinuate I'm anybody's inside information. Deleting this post won't do any good, I'll just put it back up.

  • jcpenneyman85 jcpenneyman85 May 15, 2015 8:47 AM Flag

Don't have too much time for posting this AM. Have to go to work today. You know what work is don't you Bob? That's what you do to make money when you're not suing somebody.

Your post smacks of jealousy that I was right and you were wrong.

Personally I like the new board format. My impersonators seem to have gone into hiding since it's harder to impersonate legitimate posters. Bet you're sorry to see JCPenney doing so well without you and the turnaround being on track. Survival of this company is no longer an issue and apparently your buddy R seems to have gone into hiding ashamed at being so wrong for so long. I think my batting average just went up to about .600. These days it's harder to find stories for retayl101 to COPY and PASTE that paint JCPenney in a negative light. And rather than being humiliated and being fearful that his batting average will continue to go down, he chose to opt out. I don't post as much anymore since things are going well. I believe a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised this earning report.

(As these truths are revealed, it upsets some investors and some misguided, bitter, morally-challenged, perhaps even jealous ("85")

I keep hearing about all these frauds you're going to expose to the public, but haven't seen anything to back it up. I don't know what monies that have been "stolen" from JCPenney customers, but I can assure you it hasn't gone on in any of my stores(I'm guessing it hasn't gone on in any others either). Not giving a sale price unless asked is not illegal, and only good business practices. If I know sheets are probably going on sale in January(since they have a white sale every year) and I don't mention it to you when you're shopping in October, I fail to see how that's cheating anyone. Anytime I've seen the company made aware of a questionable practice, generally a company wide bulletin is issued ASAP and the problem addressed. I've never received any instruction or prompting from anyone at any time to treat our customers as any less than the treasure they are.

Maybe "slip n fall bob" is talking about another company he's wanting to sue.

Hard to keep from losing it

Nobody losing it here, except maybe you!! I wouldn't expect someone like you to have even the faintest clue of what I was talking about.

Can't go just by one area, the NE was devastated by the weather this quarter, but I'm guessing SSS is still going to be up slightly for the company as a whole. Even with a modest increase in SSS I'm betting the margins didn't go up much if at all from last quarter. Easter is going gangbusters down here. If the rest of the country does as well this quarter SSS will be a winner. Talked to a couple of stores across the country(except NE) and they pretty much say the same thing.

Jury is still out on Ellison, he's a real operations guy, detail oriented, likes to get under the hood and fine tune things. Light in the hands on retail however. Go to guy for hard goods, up in the air to be seen yet on soft goods. Half of JCPenney business is apparel and that needs merchandised different than 2 x 4's. If he builds a good merchandising team and then relies on them, everything will be fine. Everyone seems to like him as a choice for CEO. As he's been around in various stores, haven't heard a single bad thing.

GL and have a nice Easter.

The quality of that post seemed a bit too polished compared to your prior guttural utterances. First you pretend to be me(check dates the ID's were created) and now comes a post that is remarkably similar to SA Daniel James(or one of his followers). Who are you when you go home at night, that is if you also aren't misleading us on the fact you have one.

Thats as bogus as always Reta. We are working with new team members dedicated to the James Cash Penney way of doing business, and they are not yet set in their ways like an old Retayl codger. With training they will get better and better. Wait until next year, I see JCPenney as either #1 or #2. We're rooting out the Goldens and the Screwed and kicking them to the curb. Probably half of the bad reviews were because of you three.

    One poster we won't miss

Hello libo this is the original 'jcpenneyman85, never mind the others that post under the 85 id. They are fake

Pretty easy to check when and which ID's ID's were created.

I can understand you wanting desperately to be me, a lot of people do. But, if we're going to have a long term relationship I need to know if you just have a passing infatuation or are you wanting a full blown love affair. You'll be disappointed though to find I'm happily married with children and don't go that way. I checked back on your posts and couldn't find much info on you, which is strange if you had been here since 2012. The real 85 would know I have a nine room house fully paid for in South Florida. Now how much did I pay for it?? So any time you're down this way "“Come in I’ll give you shelter from the storm”

The one and only JCPENNEYMAN85 !!!!!!

"That was one of my classics YES"

You must spend hours searching 100's and 100's of posts trying to pretend to be me, when all anyone has to do is see your ID was created only a month ago and I came on board with RJ in 2012. I can, however, understand how you would want to be me, most men do and most women wish their men were a lot more like me.

"So whoever you are you can keep on posting and blowing that whistle of yours but what is a whistle without that little ball?"

You seem hung up on that little ball, are you missing one?

Doesn't really matter which one is next as long as they all go, and we can get back to implementing RJ's vision. That's the only thing that is going to get margins back to where they should be instead of giving the store away. We're taking market share, now all we have to do is make it profitable like it used to be. If we can run 4-5% SSS increase at 40% GM for the next 3-5 years, should be no problem. When Sears finally gives up on retail and we get that market share and have upscale remodels and salons, should be a cakewalk.

It felt as if I was being waited on by BITTER, NASTY, OLD "85"!!

If the shoe fits, you probably were in the Dayton Ohio shoe department. Maybe you should take a hint. For you to be a customer there has to be an exchange of values. You get a shirt and JCPenney makes a profit. So you've scammed JCPenney two ways. Got a settlement for going away and now cheating them out of a profit. You can always tell who the couponers are. It's probably the first clean shirt they've had on in quite a while. On your way out you should stop by Sephora and get a couple of spritzes from the free samples. Clean shirt, no shower, you're probably on preferred customer mailing.

  • jcpenneyman85 jcpenneyman85 Mar 4, 2015 5:03 PM Flag

projected rev growth of 46% plus that monstrously huge open short interest is decreasing every 2 wees

And just where did you see a projected revenue growth for 46%. They would have to give 95% off coupons to get that level of revenue growth. Oops, I may have just given Mike an idea. I was just kidding Mike, don't give away the store.

And a steadily decreasing short position does nothing to help support the price of a stock and it certainly does nothing to increase the price. As of now you can thank the shorts for helping keep this stock where it is. Without their support this thing would to down faster than Oprah on a sliced ham. If you don't know why that is you shouldn't have you money in the stock market, supermarket maybe, but not the stock market.

Are you still here? I would have thought you would have taken that big "go away" settlement and moved to a foreign country by now, except I don't know any foreign countries that like ex-back stabbing employees. When is that next big deal coming that you were bragging about just a couple of weeks ago to come out at earnings. Just more hot air? I think everybody is getting your number by now Bob. Pretty soon you'll run out of places to do your slip and fall routine. I'm going to guess you probably won't want to be coming back to work considering where our new CEO came from. Where was that, oh yeah, Home Depot !!!

" I've been saying this for 3 years"

Oh, really, three years you've been saying something? What fake ID was it you used to say it because this one of yours is only a couple of months old. Anyone doubting which one has been here for three years knows to click on the ID and it will tell you how long and how many posts. Even Goldengirl knows enough to delete all his old posts so they can't hang him with them.

I've been telling everyone for years Ron was the one with the brilliant new ideas that were going to propel us into the 20th Century, all we had to do was execute the plan. I still have customers come into the store almost every day and tell me they wish we would go back to the way he ran the business, fair and square. Then people just couldn't wait a bit, create a brand new exciting way of doing business and brought back the guy who couldn't cut it in the first place.
