I agree with you tliuall .....completely. But you can see there are a lot of mindless people here who misconstrue the argument......and think this law will create abuses of patients......those people are wrong and short sided.......

Some people on this message board L O V E the FDA and probably half of them don't understand that government red tape in the drug approval process is KILLING people.....who have limited time.

Now watch the idiots come out in droves who support the current FDA process.......

I agree with you 100 percent. I posted similar sentiments to yours when Right to Try passed in Colorado...

I agree with you that the FDA has slowed down the approval process to such a point that State governments are taking matters into their own hands by passing legislation that by passes the long and lengthy process of FDA approval for people who are losing their lives who dont have the time to wait on the FDA.

Thank GOD for the forward thinking of some of the States legislative body....It is smartly getting around the ignorance and ineptitude of our federal government !!!

I made the very same argument yesterday about ALS patients doing just that..... But in my post you got up on your Soap Box and preached negatively about the aspect of that......supporting all the lengthy and time consuming practices of the FDA.......not respecting that people's lives were being lost in the process of approval that can take years and cost millions of dollars .....

EDITOID - you really talk out of BOTH ends of your mouth sometimes.......exactly like Obama.

    I agree.

The shelf plus the recent management changes....kinda tips the hand that something BIG could be right around the corner.

I agree with you that its in Canada........

I liked this part of yesterdays PR....

In addition to the appointment of Collins, Michael Fournier, currently President of Willbros Canada, has been named EVP and COO of Willbros Group, with primary responsibility for the construction and maintenance activities of the Company. Edward Wiegele, currently President of Professional Services, has been named EVP of Willbros Group and President of Engineering and Technology. Fournier and Wiegele will report to Collins and remain members of the Executive Leadership Team.

Unlike the DEA.....the FDA doesn't have the LEGAL authority to intervene.

This fight WOULD end up at the US Supreme Court.......with the FDA probably losing.

I NEVER said that the state have the authority to nullify federal law you J A C K #$%$ ........

Now you are putting words into my mouth.........

Get off you freaking high horse and realize that State governments do NOT have to agree with ANY AND ALL Federal mandates and laws.....which is why there was a Civil War not too long ago......

And yes.......dissatisfaction with the Federal Govt is very very high now and yes......it can happen again.

These State that are now coming forward to voice their own PEOPLE's OPINION are sending a message to the Federal Govt.

If you want to defend the FDA and the Federal Govt. that's your choice......clearly the people of the State of Colorado don't give hoot about your opinion ( or the FDA's opinion either ) and have voted this legislation into law........

We live in a country where our founding fathers WANTED us to sgtand up to and question the Federal Govt. when it didn't provide what the people of this country ENTRUSTED IT TO DO...........

The voice of the State of COLORADO will ring true thru out this land and more STATES who are dissatisfied with YOUR FDA will adopt the same law as a way to get last resort patients THEIR RIGHT TO TRY something that may be HUNG UP IN RED TAPE by your beloved FDA !!!!

    That's fine to disagree.

In this case.....the State of Colorado has spoken.....and they disagree with you......

Many more states to vote and Approve the Right to Try law.....further disagreeing with you more......

At the end of the day .......people want CHOICES.....and this law rightly gives them that and gets the FDA.......out of the way.

    GOD bless for that .

Companies have to have done a Phase I safety study plus be in Phase II .......so at least there should be SOME kind of knowledge of what the drug can possibly offer to prospective patients.......so I don't see this as a way to take advantage of patients.....

But it does tell the FDA to go out and pound sand .

Which is good - because the law CIRCUMVENTS the FDA from getting in the way of people who don't have any options left ...which is GOOD.

So saying " the FDA will throw the baby out with the bath water".... isn't accurate

BECAUSE THIS GREAT LAW PUSHES THE FDA OUT OF THE PICTURE IF YOU HAVE A PHASE I AND STARTED A PHASE II .....and get a doctors RX for the treatment.....

I love the premise of this law - its RIGHTLY gives patients access to possible life saving or life extending drugs that the CUMBERSOME FDA PROCESS slows downs and costs companies MILLIONS of dollars to bring their drugs to people who need them badly.

GOD BLESS COLORADO for approving this law.

I hope CUR opens ALS treatment communities and starts extending lives of ALS patients tomorrow......instead if letting them die while the FDA process wastes time and money !!

This new law will save money and lives at the same time........

This laws means that CUR might not have to do a Phase III trail.........because ALS patients really don't have another alternative that buys them the same time.....that the CUR procedure does.

Thus the FLOOD GATES OF ALS PATIENTS moving to COLORADO to get CUR treatments will begin as soon as CUR sets up the drug and the doctors there to start doing procedures.......

I wonder how quickly Wall Street will figure out how this law CHANGES EVERYTHING FOR COMPANIES LIKE CUR THAT HAS A GROUND BREAKING TREATMENT THAT PEOPLE WANT....BUT CANT HAVE BECAUSE THE FDA MAKES APPROVAL SO DIFFICULT.

WELL NOW YOU CAN LITERALLY FLIP OFF THE FDA AND GET THE PROCEDURE YOU NEED IN COLORADO.........

CUR will benefit greatly from this new law that CIRCUMVENTS the cumbersome FDA approval process !!!!!!

  • Think about this for a minute........

If you have a terminal disease and KNOW you are going to die because there ISNT ANY TREATMENT available to you that works..........wouldn't you travel to what ever state has a law that lets you try a drug which will prolong and lengthen you life ????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    OF COURSE YOU WOULD..........THE ALTERNATIVE IS D E A T H !!!!!!!

So....ergo.......if enough ALS patients KNOW that they can buy the drug in the State of Colorado and hopefully in Missouri and Louisiana ......wouldn't THEY ALL GO THERE FOR TREATMENT.....?

Yes they would......or they can stay where they are and expire ( die )

So CUR can actually start earning REVENUES from these ALS patients THAT HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE but to move to the states that have passed this law.......and THUS CUR can start having a REVENUE STREAM EVEN BEFORE THEY EVER GET FDA APPROVAL..........

IN FACT WITH THIS LAW - THEY MIGHT NOT EVEN NEED FDA APPROVAL - EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To hell with the phase III trails - go into production on the drug based on the phase II trails and SAVE millions of dollars and thousands of lives by selling your drug In Colorado and Missouri and Louisiana and in any other state that approves RIGHT TO TRY.

This is a game changing event and CUR is very smart to start doing these procedures ASAP in the states that allow it !!!!!!

COLORADO ROCKS -------- AND SO DOES CUR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Great analysis !!

  • The revenue estimate for Q2 was $13.7 million
The company has now RAISED that to $14 - $16 million !!!!

That's a good reason we are moving well in the after markets....

  • The earnings and Conference call was WELL RECEIVED !

EPS earnings beat AND Revenue Beat !!!!

  • Last nights Insider buy reporting and todays Board appointment has given a lift back to the stock price this morning........

  • jdcaetano jdcaetano May 7, 2014 6:45 PM Flag

    Agreed.

He bought at $3.49 ......its quite a bit lower today at $3.15 so hopefully that stops some of the selling from people who might now say........hey, wait a minute.....why should I sell at $3.17 ....when a insider started buying at $3.49 .......

Selling below the insider BUY level doesn't make any sense at all !!!!!!!!

  • jdcaetano jdcaetano May 7, 2014 5:48 PM Flag

    COOL !!!!!

  • On 5/5 OLDAKER WILLIAM CLYDE bought shares.
