Happy birthday Mike. I can see by all the well wishers here that you have lots of fans. Thanks for all your enlightening posts.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I have already purchased shares awhile back but with this recent pullback I will be buying more. I have done more dd recently to confirm my intentions. This stock will have its day..soon.
Your comment shows a short-sightedness and lack of understanding of this sector. risk goes hand in glove with reward in biopharma: Only 3 in 10 drugs that enter clinical trials actually gain market approval. Not to mention, while some larger biopharma companies have several treatments (and thus several revenue streams), some smaller firms’ fates might rest on a solitary drug, making them a much bigger gamble.
Thus, this sector is largely a bet on future success, not current performance.
I think maybe you are missing the concept inherent in this sector.
If I had a nickel for every time I read a post like this I'd be rich. It's the kind of comment that is totally meaningless since most of these companies must pay more than they can reasonably afford in order to get anywhere. It's like any small businesses. In most cases all thgey have is great potential and a hope for future success.
" but investors are tired of paying for potential." - this comment is also totally meaningless and devoid of any serious intelligent thought process and completely without merit.
Don't follow this much recently. Why is this news so important? How does this step compare to their milestone process and how does this affect the baseline SP at this stage?
Things haven't really changed much in regards to what I think of HZNP now and how I felt in 2012. If it goes to 12 in feb I probably won't bother selling. I only have a few thousand shares and I will keep it planted (like an oak tree) in my portfolio to remind me of the importance of staying long with a solid company. I will let my children reap the profits.
The way I look at today is:
Wow look ...my shares have gone up 180% in 3 months- the best stock in my portfolio. One must keep their cup 1/2 full.
I should be sending you something since, not only were you the only sensible clear mind in the fog, but also one of the best, informative posters in all the many blogs I have perused here over the last few years. And so I kept my shares.
