    the truth be told...

  • you could be the hero of the decade, release, re-list, cash in $200B+ in preferreds and commons for the US Gov and put it towards your low-income housing initiatives.... the result??? EVERYONE's A WINNER: shareholders, GSE's, UST, better mortgage availability, why fight it any longer?? Let it happen and everybody wins!
(All except the professional naysayers like Carney, Lamberth, DeMarco, Crapo, Corker, etc etc etc....

when you are posting at 3am you're not going to get much feedback. I am in CET (Sweden) so it's 6 hours ahead of US eastern time. But personally, if Sue is "breaking the law" I think it pales in
comparison to the "law" being broken which requires the Conservator to "conserve and preserve the assets and put in a safe and sound financial position"...... how is continually stripping away ALL profits of the GSE's following the law?

Keep the articles coming Sue, knowledge is power for the shareholders, just wish we could get a high-profile politician involved who will trumpet "the rule of law" and how the shareholders should have rights to the profits. Mel Watt running this thing like it's "his own" company, his goal (and same as the Amateur-in-Chief's goal) is to strip all assets of the GSE's and send to UST where he can siphon away to "his" social programs which believe me, do NOT include me or you or other middle-class Americans.....

Time to spin off the submarine operation

The point was doing an IPO now would raise more cash than a straight sale. If the value of the sub unit is $1 Billion, they should try to raise $3 Billion in the IPO and either credit a partial share or pay a dividend to existing shareholders. Something out of the 1+1=3 playbook instead of just settling for a low price on a sale of the asset, could be a good way to monetize this unit and have it raise the PPS, that's what I meant Brewhaus.

  • You would think Nader, Ackman, Berkowitz, or someone with clout and lots of shares would be "recruiting" a House Rep or Senator to publicly advance the cause of shareholders and "the rule of law"..... we have heard sympathetic leanings from Rep. Maxine Waters, but that's about it to my knowledge. Can't we get someone on board from Congress to publicize the takings, the perpetual c-ship, the sweep, all the BS and bring this thing to a head? Otherwise we just drift and lawsuits kept getting put off or postponed, etc. etc. etc.

Maybe Ackman can gift Maxine a few million shares if she will play ball here..... how bout it Billy?

  • They should do this NOW while the market is ripe for the proposed IPO of ALU's submarine unit.
The spinoff should be for $1 Billion USD and $3 a share. This could effectively monetize this asset that the company has been wanting to sell for the past 9 months, apparently no buyers have offered a decent price.
There has been talk of using the submarine cable unit for oil rigs and oil exploration, if there is an opportunity to diversify the uses of this unit, the more value will be ascribed to the unit and the shares.

Time for Michel and co to get creative and reward the shareholders who have been holding the bag patiently over the past year or two.... this would be an easy and creative way to do so.

    All IMO - JDS

Has the most recent sweep been reported?

What was the date and the amount that was swept in the last sweep? Is that not newsworthy that BILLIONS of $$$ gets added to the US Treasury? Did FNMA or FMCC do a press release saying that BILLIONS of $$$ were just sent over to UST? Can't find any news on this whatsoever, how do you "hide" a story like this????

  • I have seen no news of the last quarter's sweep taking place, what was the amount and date of the last actual sweep that took place? I thought it was supposed to happen September 30th??

  • I have not seen any confirmation as to when or how much was stolen, I mean taken....
