  • Your wife is closing out your accounts & transferring the $ to places you have no idea about while I type this and calling a divorce lawyer. Have a great weekend.

I wonder what the short interest was in it? Maybe I'll just count the people jumping out of windows and off bridges.

I got to stop reading about all the terrific things Google is getting into. Their purchase of Nest and Nest's purchase of Dropcam is almost making me reach for my wallet. Puts them right in peoples' homes to collect data to be used or sold to others.

  • Anything happening (like quarterly reports etc.) soon that I should be aware of. I know I could look, but it is bedtime and I have about had it.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm

Someone gave this to me a couple weeks ago but I just could not see it. I would go Hmmm but I am too amazed to speak and never took a position. Look at today's volume. I even wondered why I had it in front of me the last few days. Time to rethink my attitude a bit.

I shouldn't bother with you and am amazed I don't have you on ignore, but I am bored and didn't make it to the pool this afternoon so you are what I have to play with. Pretty sad commentary on my life.

Anyway, my portifilio earns a decent living for me making securing what you term a job unnecessary.

On decent days I earn bunches of money amazed at the inequality of it. Lots of days I earn nothing. Sometimes I lose some. You do the same or just a Yahoo posting idiot?

My bet is you are either the alter ego of someone who is OK, but bored and trying to gather attention to break the boredom or just an idiot. Either way it doesn't matter. You don't matter. You are just a fool on Yahoo.

Here is a hint. Some people are exceptionally smart and some are exceptionally hard working. Both are exceptional people. While I may or may not be smart you know I work through most of the night. I just might be smart in some ways too : ) .

Yes, I am also impressed with GOOG's recent purchases of robotics and artificial intelligence firms and work on quantum computing with NASA. Further their purchase of Nest makes a lot of sense to me after looking at the Internet of Things or home automation and the marketable data they will get form it. Google in 10 years may be a very different firm than GOOG of now. Apple is past its prime, but with $165 billion or so in cash can buy a new future easily.

Yes, I agree that the future is not completely roses. My problem is that I am working on the value of my balance sheet and paying taxes is really problematic since the balance sheet does not account for taxes due upon sale. It is in many ways better to suffer a decline than to sell and pay taxes, but that is making some assumptions about the level of the decline.

The things I am currently buying pay sufficient, mostly safe, dividends to surpass my cost of capital and still have some decent upside. It is just my working through some capital that needs to be allocated. The allocation is taking a lot of time and cutting into my selection of things that might have lots of upside and risk : ) .

I don't know what reasonably valued is any more. Much of what I think is happening reflects waves of cash looking for somewhere, almost anywhere, to make a profit. It is like a bucket awash in cash and fear and greed and as it swings back and forth different stocks attached to the inside go up and down. Still fundamentals eventually come out or at least people will always need certain things meaning they will pay for them and shareholders of theses firms will do OK.

Best of luck and keep a grin on your kisser.

    Sound like a real optimist don't I?

I don't even recall what they do or the name of the firm. Often I'll buy something that looks interesting and just put in my buy em and forget them holdings. Currently I believe in energy enterprises and that is where I focus mostly now except for frolics. Would love to buy GOOG but just can't get myself to do it.

Recently some of my past indiscretions are blooming. Rather than cost average I should probably be selling them and placing the $ into something rational, but what fun is that?

When time is available the next thing to review is wind and solar enterprise (farms not equipment producers) as energy storage is coming and that will change the value of these energy producing firms. Change like up 50% or more. Some even pay a decent dividend.

Best way I know to gather the time is to sit by a pool and away from my screen. The pool is calling me today. Nothing happens here today for me as I spent this week's $ allocation yesterday. Should have waited a day. Could have picked up a few pennies.

Possible although I am starting to wonder if people are biting at the bit for upgrades. What is the phone going to do that is great besides give a bigger screen and be a bit lighter/thinner. At some point the $ of the young folks in the legions are just going to pay for food and fuel making it a bit harder to buy a new phone.

My bet is the stock price gets a bump up from the huge amount for money looking for a speculative home. As a company I just don't see AAPL keeping up with GOOG although that can change pretty quick depending on what AAPL invests in going forward.

Been looking at home automation as I you may have recently done. You even consider the AAPL product?

Think there will be long lines in front of Apple stores to buy the new phone or watch?

Think the US govt can afford higher interest rates on its debt?

The thing to look at with Redflow is their business model and where they are located and the locations treatment of R&D expenses. I don't think you are up to any ability to look into it and understand, but at least I gave you a hint.

I get no thrills looking at small amounts of other people's money especially when it represent a lot of money to the owner. It is really pathetic and depressing to see someone holding onto little bits of money thinking it is a lot. What ever happened to opportunity and sucess?

Tell you what. If it makes you feel better you can post proof of giving $500 to charity as payment for me to review your TD statement post it and I'll and give you advice over the web. My advice might be worth nothing but the charity will benefit as will you from making the gift.

Now it appears you were a liar when you said you have mo on ignore and so everything you post is likely a lie. Sorry, it is what happens to creditability when one lies.
