Covered yesterday. I assume there will be more PR's to offset the earnings report and that FDA approval will get this to a solid $1.15 before the next leg up.
Would it really kill you to do some DD and check out the short position on this stock?!
Biggest short position in the last year was 1.6 million shares (and most of that was me!).
This stock is not affected by short trading - especially not at the moment as there will be more PR's to balance the effects of a stinky earnings report.
Thanks cbot. Thing is - the CEO is a lot smarter than people think he is and I'd suggest there will be another OEM announcement BEFORE FDA.
He always had some cards up his sleeve to avoid the fairly significant expense of a reverse split - and you will see them in the next 10 trading days.
I'd say buy at 0.62 on Monday - and if you want to trade - sell at 0.84 (which you will see before FDA). If you want to avoid tax complexity - just hold for $1.15
Sometimes I despair at the fanboys leaving money on the table.
You should always sell news like this and buy back in at better rates.
OK zigzag - you might have been speaking with a forked tongue, but now people can buy at your imaginary price with impunity!
Your CEO has stated that he HOPES for a Q3 approval.
The good news is that if the Agency did not think the device was approvable via the 510K route, they would have said so already and America would have been compelled to inform the market.
They can however continue to ask questions and as your CEO has said, he HOPES for Q3 approval.
Could be this week, could be next - may be the 3rd week of September after some more STINKY earnings news which kicks this back down to 0.35
Don't bet the farm on a Q3 surge.
Yeh - it will skyrocket to $0.37
That's why the after market is so hot for it right?
That's all fine and true.
Point is that you can achieve equal (or better) fusion rates with other things - LT Cage and Infuse for one - and Medtronic have a thousand reps whispering that message to their docs every day. 500,000 patients treated with Infuse.
By all means place your bets, but please realize that when something looks to good to be true, it's often because it is.
SiNi is good, but so are plenty of other things that never see the light of day.
Plenty of things have equal fusion rates to autograft.
OK - they may cost money and be sold by the big 3 companies in Spinal
But - they EARN money and are sold by the big 3 in Spinal. Capisce?
The highest ever short number for AMDA is about 1.5 million (really no much huh?!) and that was at 05/29/15
It went up about 300k compared with the previous report and all 300,000 of those shares are now in SERIOUS trouble (although of course they have had more than enough volume to cover since then) if they are still short.
There is a lot of pressure that wants this above $1 by August and beyond.
I don't see it getting to $2 short of a buyout (and see less chance of a buyout now they have gone down the OEM route), but be careful.
Buying tomorrow and setting a stop at 35c is a much better bet than shorting.
