  • You can see this is a set up for a major transition...either a buyout or at minimum serious leadership change....

Dorsey is a great near term CEO and will do a great job picking the new CEO this month. He understands the business and I am sure the board looked at the stock price and nicely asked Costello to step down. He has a lot of stock options so it is in his best interest too. This is a way for the guy to keep his dignity. Costello has done a great job and deserves Kudos for a great tenure. He should have left about a year ago, but it is often hard to time these transitions. Costello and Dorsey understand this position and market as well as anybody and will do a great job on the CEO picking duties.

But, this could be a set up to field any serious offers for GOOG or MSFT for a buyout... Not likely it will come to pass, but I am sure there will be inquiries...just not offers. But, if someone is going to buy out, this is the bet time ever...stable economy, proven product and leadership open to transition. But, it has to make sense to everyone and be the right number. I would say $36-37 in next few weeks without buyout. If offer was made, I think it would be $46-48 range.

Strong future and should retrace to $36 within a week.

  • he said this is one of the few huge growth stories in revenue that we are seeing and the real story is drones

Also, look at the deal GPRO did last night with GOOGLE....16 cameras per device....they all have to have AMBA chips....

Gopro is a great driver for amba chips...but high definition to zoom the best for surveillance cameras, drone cameras, back up and auto type cameras and police body cameras.

Drones will be the biggest story and more than enough to take this well over $100 this month....

decades of growth here and a huge story

really the best pure play on drones for serious producers that want to zoom in 4K instead of 1080

  • TheStreet Ratings team rates AMBARELLA INC as a Buy with a ratings score of B. TheStreet Ratings Team has this to say about their recommendation:

"We rate AMBARELLA INC (AMBA) a BUY. This is driven by a few notable strengths, which we believe should have a greater impact than any weaknesses, and should give investors a better performance opportunity than most stocks we cover. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its robust revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, notable return on equity, expanding profit margins and good cash flow from operations. We feel its strengths outweigh the fact that the company is trading at a premium valuation based on our review of its current price compared to such things as earnings and book value."

Highlights from the analysis by TheStreet Ratings Team goes as follows:

AMBA's very impressive revenue growth greatly exceeded the industry average of 0.7%. Since the same quarter one year prior, revenues leaped by 73.5%. Growth in the company's revenue appears to have helped boost the earnings per share.
AMBA has no debt to speak of therefore resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of zero, which we consider to be a relatively favorable sign. Along with this, the company maintains a quick ratio of 5.85, which clearly demonstrates the ability to cover short-term cash needs.
Current return on equity exceeded its ROE from the same quarter one year prior. This is a clear sign of strength within the company. Compared to other companies in the Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment industry and the overall market, AMBARELLA INC's return on equity exceeds that of both the industry average and the S&P 500.
AMBARELLA INC reported significant earnings per share improvement in the most recent quarter compared to the same quarter a year ago. The company has demonstrated a pattern of positive earnings per share growth over the past two years. We feel that this trend should
