We'd have to go back to Aug/Sept. 2013 to the 104 level. At this point, there is no support. Management needs to step up to the plate and address this immediately!
What bothers me is even companies such as Bloomberg are reporting the SEC probe. If it isn't factual, then management needs to publicly denounce the allegations otherwise we will see a continual slide in the stock price. Today is just the beginning. Why they are being so callous is beyond belief!
Yellen testimony is further deteriorating the market today! Why is this even necessary? Nothing positive is accomplished by it.
not that bad and should be priced in at this juncture. this is all China devaluing currencies and debt related to crude. these cards are being overplayed already
Most of the stocks that have already hit back to August 24 lows have been faring better than those who have not. This could be a sign that the bottom is in on DIS. Also its dividend is intact. We'll see how the mouse fares this afternoon! This has been a wilder ride than Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at the park!
Until the feds address this, the market will remain in turmoil! EOM
Oil is ruling all! If the Saudis and Venzuela had cut some sort of deal, any type of deal, we would have seen a different picture this morning.
This is an opportunity for the CEO to bring some stability to the market! I hope he heeds this advice!!!
Heard yesterday on cnbc that biotech ipo's have all but dried up. Nobody wants to put anything out there in this economic environment. Doesn't help we have the politicians all clammoring to attack drug companies. They may very well kill the goose that lays the golden egg!
The market shouldn't have over-reacted to Merck's entry into Hep C treatment since this was already general knowledge and should have already been priced in. Maybe the discounted price wasn't known. Its the role of management to take such investor concerns off the table! Too much nervousness out there!
Won't happen imo! GILD has too much cash and pays a divy. What they need to do is talk the talk at the cc on Tuesday. Investors want to know what the next big drug will be as hep c is getting too many competitors on board. If they invest wisely in their pipeline and do some acquisitions. Prove to investors this is not a one-trick pony, GILD will soar imo!
