Jason, I'm 54 years old and started trading when i was 12. My advice would to learn about selling put options. Use professional analysts to choose a company that's forcast to rise sharply then sell puts against it. Even if the shares dont rise you still make a killing. I made $170,000 selling US Airways puts at $10 when the stock price was $12. I've made similar results with Arch coal. One can make returns of 100-200% A.P.R. more reliably and more safely than just trading common stock shares.
Good to find some form of intelligent life here on the Vale board tonight. It was good to see a head line that Indonesia is barring export of nickel. That will make us the no. 1 exporter of this metal.
It was never released as a press release to the general public. Go to the company web sight and read the Shareholder Update of 16 July 2013. He's going to dissolve the company and list a new company on the N.Y.S.E.
I was a shareholder a few months ago. I subscribed to a shareholder update directly from the company and was amazed to receive the announcement. I don't believe it was ever posted on news headlines by yahoo. I suggest you call investor relations or look back on the company website to find it. I had never heard of such a thing or experienced such a thing in 42 years of investing. Researched it and it is legal but requires a vote of the share holders. Weber holds the majority of shares so our vote doesn't matter. Sold all my shares. Knowledge is power.
