    Saturday Report 27 September, 2014

What a breath of fresh air your topic thread has become. Clearly those who have responded are long-term investors who have embraced Avanir over the years.

It goes without saying that a solid foundation has been laid. I have no intentions of parting with my holdings in my retirement portfolio anytime soon and will enjoy every moment like you - like many of us here. As for buyout - I personally do not see the BOD agreeing to any bids short of blowout numbers. Avanir has created a pipeline with too much potential to simply say 'ok' to the first offers presented. However, as Avanir's potential becomes reality, it would be welcomed news to hear interest for it would only add to the pps. Surely a nice problem to have. Enjoy your day everyone!

Sarge - Over the years I envisioned myself being able to laugh about all the misfortunes us long-timers weathered through. I'm chuckling now. The agitation results has really put a whole new spectrum of focus back on Avanir and Wall Street has most definitely taken notice. Like you said, brand new day! Next five years will be rewarding. Enjoy your weekend.

  • To potential new investors in Avanir. I always recommend conducting your own DD on whether to invest in a company. However if you are lurking on this message board seeking information, go to Avanir's website. Click on 'Product & Research', then click on 'Pipeline'. Once you're there, ask yourself where you think AVNR's pps will be in 5yrs.

Have to say I like your optimism and if the grand plan plays out - you may be right. I'm retiring in 6 yrs and will be very happy with a $50 pps by then. Anything above that - well, I may retire sooner!

I believe a buyout is in the wind

    by liberty5251 Sep 24, 2014 1:13 PM

I personally would like to hear buyout rumors just to inflict more interest in the company and give the shorts something else to think about. Surely the pps would move north with that alone.

However, KK and the BOD have shed a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get AVNR where it is today. It has been many years in the making. The company has never been so sound and the near-term - and long-term future has never been so bright. I can see them wanting to play out their dream. However, big pharmas have been around the block as to knowing the potentials of a company they may show interest in. Therefore it would be interesting to know what multiple would peek their interest on any buyout. Would be a nice problem to have. And being a shareholder, we would have a bit of a say and would need to vote on it too and I'm not sure what I would be happy with at this point.

    Paying off the note?

I actually forgot about that note - thanks for bringing this to the board. No doubt pay it off - would be that much closer to profitability.

  • Unprecedented price movement today. There's more to this dilution strategy than we are all lead to believe.

I tip my cap to all fellow longs out there that weathered the ups and downs of AVNR over the years - testing the patience of all. Our ship is finally going to set sail and one trip I am truly going to enjoy. This has been a very long time coming.

I do not condone anyone for their trading strategies. Whether it be long or short, the bottom line is you're all here to make money. But I being from the old school, I've always invested in a company to prosper rather than hedging on a company to falter. And as for this message board, I find the material being written entertaining to say the least as each side tries to influence the other.

So with that said, I personally find myself beyond excited as to this next journey Avanir will be taking us longs. Avanir is now quickly establishing itself as a mid-cap Biotech company to reckon with and Wall Street has most definitely taken notice.

Back up the truck and start handing out free scratching posts to all the shorts that piled on this board. I'm sure they have scratched themselves raw trying to figure out AVNR's pps reaction today. Quit fighting the trend - AVNR has a master plan and Wall Street knows it.

Maybe fast-track status for the Alzheimer agitation drug is in the cards... Just a thought. Or preparing for imminent approval of their migraine drug. Regardless, AVNR is preparing for sustained growth and continued success. What is not to like about what they are doing.?

    Mr. T -
Owned a position since 1998 so I too lived - and survived - all the ups and downs with this company. I've mentioned this before on this message board, I've been stubborn with this stock and just couldn't let it go and move on. Must be the stubborn Swede in me.

AVNR has turned the corner and has finally awakened the sleeping Wall Street giant. Been a long time coming for all of us and I am surely going to enjoy it. Best to you.

Sarge - Thanks for the report. It indeed was a beautiful week for us long-time holders. The positive agitation results and the pps reaction should have all of us giddy these days along with the imminent release of further positive catalysts. I'm not surprised that a whole flock of shorts came in to assist in filling the gap. I do whole heartily agree with you on this though - I'd rather wake up long to when - not - if - the next positive catalyst hits the wires. The shorts will once again become our friends as they look for a way out. Include buyout rumors in the near future too . That alone will push the pps further north - especially if more than one big pharma shows interest in AVNR. Good times for all of us longs - enjoy!

  • No doubt AVNR has the full attention of the Investment World now. Good times for Longs - congrats all!

It would be interesting to hear if offers have been made and what those offers amounted to at this stage of ONCS's research. So with that said, what offer would interest ONCS Board of Directors at this stage of their research? What offers would interest ONCS Board of Directors if their 3-phase II trials proves to be an effective treatment to solid tumors? Obviously huge.

Next couple years will be exciting to all longs willing to ride out these pps swings because it can happen quickly. These five events ONCS is participating in this month will be giving them more exposure in the medical and investment world and also give ONCS an opportunity to share the latest news on their progress and potential. Exciting times are ahead.

With all that's going on in their pipeline, it certainly will be interesting to see where Avanir's pps is five years from now assuming they are not bought out by then.
