Yep, dividend is safe. LOL. I think I heard that story with KMI, MPLX, COP. Oh yeah, I really believe anything these CEO's are saying. ROTFLMAO
As harvy said it's a penny stock right now heading for the pink sheets. I can't believe anyone would even think throwing good money into this stock right now. If you want to lose money take the money go to Vegas and bet on red. The odds of you making money are better doing that.
Don't have a clue to what kind of deal you think they can cut now. Only thing the weekend will give them is more time to figure out how long they have before they are out of business.
Don't count on any assurance from any company today. KMI and COP and MPLX gave the same assurances and look where that went.
Here's an good example.
An excerpt from the Motley Fool in January 2016.
ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) has made a strong commitment to its dividend. That's why CEO Ryan Lance pounded the table on one of the company's recent conference calls stressing that, "The dividend is safe. Let me repeat that. The dividend is safe." The reason the dividend is safe isbecause the company's "top priority is the dividend" according to CFO Jeff Sheets.
Well they cut the dividend from 75 to 25 cents per quarter. So as I said don't count on anything these companies say.
Since he pays up in Monopoly money it really doesn't matter how much he loses. He takes the bus from the hospital and goes to Toys R Us to pick up some extra cash.
Google Cef Connect and it will give you a breakdown the the two stock. It's shows you everything from dividend to stocks in each. It is very helpful. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Many buy HPI because of the higher dividend.
The only problem is as you sit you don't collect the dividends. So in the end it may be a break even by the time the price gets where you want to buy.
