Any statistics in terms of sales to back up your claim or just a guess on your part? Do you know WHERE Netflix growth is coming from?
That theory didn't really work so well for the 3D wave that was supposed to make everyone buy a new TV either, did it?
"3D makes HD look like 2D"....luddite.
AND a milktoast board and CEO that are so dry and dull no true excitement about the company or products is generated. Look at the earnings calls...usually you see a drop in stock price shortly after Weeks et al speak about the quarter and future of the company.
Same song different verse. None of the other "technological advances" in the flat panel industry have moved the stock price and 4K won't either. The problem is that GLW is viewed as a one trick pony (flat panels) in an industry that is seeing stagnant growth and continual cost decreases.
But is the overall flat panel market growing, stagnant, or shrinking? 4K may be gaining in terms of total number of units sold, but it is at the expense of 1080 versions, no real gain in volume (or glass sales) here. Just redistribution of current market sales.
Oh my God, that wins the moronic post of the day award! "Corning could easily be..." yep, and they "could easily NOT be..." Look at the history of this stock, not the company. Look at the history of this board of directors, not their innovations. Those two things will tell you the story of the stock price movement, not the "could easily be..." guesses.
You do realize "highintillect" is really corning2retarded right? Ever wonder where all of the thumbs up and thumbs down votes come from? Multiple usernames that's where...
