    Sentiment: Buy

  • jimmypiersal by jimmypiersal Jul 2, 2014 10:00 AM Flag

Listened to the call tonight. Here's a few of my takeaways:

-CAT will add $5-10m in the 2nd half - strong commitment from CAT to the program and building in products for just in time shipment
-Brazil - expect strong second half
-Solar OEM - revenue will pick up strong in the 2nd quarter
-475k subscribers adds a recurring revenue stream
-Europe very strong 1q - $5m in revenue is a record

    Guidance -
    -this 2nd quarter - revenue $57-$61m; EPS .17-.21
-3rd & 4th quarters - significantly stronger revenue - primarily due to Auto Ins and Heavy Equip segments
-Non gap earnings growth - earlier gave 30%; will be in a range between 20% & 30%, partly due to smaller expectation from satellite bus.

    Q&A
-Fleet growth - when will it scale: It is happening, especially in municipal govt's, good traction, will announce names when approved.
-How about gross margins in FY15: Will be better this year than last.
-Subscriptions growth: In line with growth in 2014
-Latin America - strong in 2014, what about 2015: in 2014 most revenue came from 2 sources - Venez.and a Brazilian customer. Revenue will pick up in the second half of FY15 (Sep on)

    Observation:
-Confident management in a high growth business. Opportunities everywhere.
-Very well managed - no debt, low number of shares, strong growth and profit, strong free cash flow
-In the middle of the internet of things and making strong progress.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

And the CEO stated that the CAT revenue would look like 30-40% in Q3, the rest in Q4.

  • Big overreaction as usual. In a week it will be back above $22.

Maybe the group that has been behind these pushes did it for effect - today was end of quarter. In a month they will announce another good quarter, sometime before they will most likely pre-announce again. But I don't think the people behind the push today are connected to the company; Chinese stocks, maybe. Before buying more, I think it tests $3 again next week.

    Sentiment: Buy

  • Ridiculous volume, no news and goes way higher than it needed to. Like it but don't believe it. If no news comes out in the next day, what reason to buy 30% higher than it was earlier today?

    Sentiment: Buy

  • In light of little news, it needs volume. Got it today.

Analayst Apple Predictions 2013 Part II

Cody, in re-looking at the Abdi CNBC interview, Abdi suggested that all of the analysts were wrong. However, when he did all those road shows back in March and shared all his enthusiasm with them, I think he set those expectations too high. Only Oppenheimer didn't buy in and everyone, including me, pounded Oppenheimer for it.

  • Rob gave the keynote address at INVN's Developers Conference. Look at what he shows us on his wrist, how he talks about "always on" and the internet of things. Also, INVN's link to QCOM continues VERY strong. This clip isn't from the conference, just 4 minutes of him talking about what he's up to.

    INVN's Price

Good points from both of you. It will be very interesting to see what happens this summer. There are so many moving parts here: This quarter, next quarter, guidance, Apple, Chinese smart phones, wearables, OIS, MIC, mix of 6 axis sales, still potential of buyout given the overall valuation is right in the $2b wheelhouse, a price of a lot of takeovers. Buckle up!

  • -"However, our modest decline in gross margin performance in Q4 reflected a larger percentage of legacy products in our sales mix. These products are expected to represent a smaller percentage of the mix in the June quarter, as newer smartphones that leverage over higher value products continue to ramp in volume."
-"We believe that we are gaining significant market share in mobile devices, including all of the top 10 Android smartphone makers."
-"As such, our fiscal Q4 ending March is generally our slowest revenue quarter, with revenue opportunities seasonally improving in the quarters ended June, September and December." Krock
-"We expect fiscal year '15 Q1 revenue to be in a range of $63 million to $66 million. To support this Q1 fiscal year '15 revenue outlook, we currently have backlog and customer forecast product usage in place representing the majority of this total current quarter revenue target." Krock
-"We expect LG and Xiaomi to represent 10% customers in the June quarter." Krock
-"Q1 fiscal year '15 gross margin can be in a range around 51%. In future quarters, lower cost of products, additional production volumes and improving product yield can have a favorable impact on our gross margin." Krock
-"we are well-positioned to enjoy year-over-year revenue rate of growth of between 25% to 35%. This outlook ... excludes the potential for accelerated growth in new market opportunities discussed, such as audio, optical image stabilization and consumer electronics wearable devices." Krock
-"Higher volumes can drive higher margins. So as the volumes pick up, we think that the factor of spreading our fixed costs for some of our back-end test and calibration facility costs can have a favorable impact on margins." Krock

  • Went over the May 2014 presentation on INVN's web site, under Investor relations, presentations. The only change I saw, and I think it confirms what we have heard about Apple, is their operating margin is now projected to be 25%+ versus the March update that had 28%-30% operating margin. This might suggest that they are giving Apple a discount for the giant orders that will result from 1 or more wins. This operating margins will also be against much higher revenue so chances are net income will be significant.

One worry coming out of those "Apple win" rumors was that they would have to give Apple huge discounts, therefore impacting margins. Yes, but operating not net. And those discounts won't be that huge and they will be highly profitable. The true value of INVN is going to sneak up on everyone and sometime in the next couple of months some will be wondering when the stock is in the $30's, "how did I miss this?" I will not be among them.

Then 5 minutes later another 72k share sell off took it all the way down to $21.71. Recovering now, but someone is nervous. I don't think it's the longs. Noticed also that shares short decreased 800K to 24.9m as of 6/13.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • looks like the shorts sold off 60-70k shares 10 minutes later taking it back down under $22. Interesting what pushed the strong buy of half a million shares in 10 min.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
