Look for return of capital being the reason they (UTF) are able to maintain the dividend, just as a suggestion... I have been in GGN which sells options on gold and oil stocks. Their dividend has steadily decreased, and I think more and more of it is return of capital. They are really cagey about not telling the investor straight out how they are doing but my read of the financials suggests these leverage option sellers don't do all that well.

Just a suggestion....I'll look at UTF more closely and if I find something of interest be back.

btu4u2, thanks for the hello...It is me...

  • From here there is some significant overhead on the price chart and I don't expect much further advancement, unless energy as a complex surges anew, which I don't expect either. So hold for the divi and possible add on a break of a dollar or so...

    Sentiment: Hold

I'm in the camp that says they will or at least hopes they do...A good beat and SSRI could clear $6, under which I suspect it will stay through the employment report.

    Sentiment: Buy

Real reason for sell off, and run back up

In the end the price of gold was unchanged on the week ending May 1. I would say that while the deal may have had a momentary influence the power of the HFTs overrode it.... The gold market it pretty obviously capped ... wake me at $1225+. Meanwhile it was good to see able to hold $30 with its earnings release...

Noticed the sell advice coming in...their comments fit with yours...I sold half today. To sell or hold the other half, that is the question..approaching 7% yield. Management didn't say things were going south for the company. At some point in the mid teens this would seem to be a buy even if management doesn't talk to analysts.

They seem to be a private company in approach to PR. I'd be interested in your determination of the coverage of the dividend. Thanks for the clarification relative to what it is they store.

fredrick901, that's what the market seems to be saying...unenlightening and disappointing. Curious it was difficult to determine how much the company made last year. 87 cents, yes but I didn't see that number even in the press release. Amazes me that this company can't do better with the glut of oil needing storage...simpleton me...I'll listen to the conference call though I suspect from your comment I won't learn much...NUTS I thought this would be a pretty straight forward way to make 6% without too much volatility.
