Monday went up to setup for a good number of put purchases for a descending oscillation today. There is a lot of open interest in both puts and calls and watch the volume of each on trending days. Monday trended up and you would have seen buys in the weekly puts out of the money and then MM's take it down today to profit on those options. Slows down through Friday. Similar to last week. It's a trading stock until the ER comes out in February, 2014.
Sounds like what a person would expect when going into a gallery. Nice car, very expensive for most - except those in the bay area who seem to have high incomes, high stock-options if in the right firm, and can take home equity loans on their $1M 1800 sq ft homes to buy the $100k car.
What this shows is you an buy "now" by buying a loaner (otherwise known as "dealer inventory" at regular dealerships). Tesla is sending dealer stock out there to whet the appetite of someone who would accept a color and options set that is near what they would have bought on custom order. It also shows that a factory order can be done quickly EVEN THOUGH there are many who say that backlog is 20,000 or more.
The CEO of scty said that a few hundred scty installed tesla built battery standby systems have been installed already. They were available earlier this year.
Where in the 10-Q or investor letter can we find the income details?
A few hundred $10k plus wholesale units is over $1 million.
Recent stories say they are $15k units but financed by scty. They are 1/8 the capacity of an MS85. So 10kWh at over $1500 per kWh of electric storage. I want to see the spreadsheets of how they compute payback. Since Tesla car batteries have a long warranty I wonder if scty will warranty this after cycling it daily.
Ugh. 39 would have been nice. Did a small trade but I am on a plane. Closed it out already and made enough for a pair of new shoes.
Studies have found that ice ages start with a period of increased precipitation. Heating of oceans from both undersea volcanism and solar irradiance help get more water vapor into the atmosphere leading to increased precipitation and eventually culmination in thickening of polar ice. CO2 can come from Methane expulsion and decomposition in the atmosphere - such as permafrost melting which then leads to warming, precipitation and then eventual ice-age. The planet breaths this way over long periods of thousands of years. Last ice age was ONLY 14,000 to 12,000 years ago. That is a very short time ago. Can happen again with a turn of climate.
Macho is for people driving pickup trucks. South Park noted that the pedal is not called a gas pedal. The hotties you mention are what - Snookie types? Loose, skinny and pretty (after applying makup, of course)? They'll be gone once they see a guy with a Lambo or Rolls come around.
I find that a good number of EV drivers tend to be single, eccentric and kinda weird.
Primarily it is a jobs program and politicians need people (sorry, I mean voters) working. If people can only aspire to become sales people and stand around and try to "sell" a customer a car, they need protection otherwise they will be out of work or sucking on the government teeet with welfare programs like so many ex-factory workers are whos jobs the same politicians have sent overseas to build the junk we buy.
Go to any toy store, Walmart, furniture store, etc. Just about 100% is made in a foreign country. The only thing left is for sales people to maintain their incomes by trying to sell this stuff to us.
I agree - we should allow factories to sell direct to customers. Let people fly to the factory and pick up their cars and skip the destination charges. This takes jobs away from truckers who move the cars cross-country and increases jobs at the gas stations along the route home from the factory. Hotels, restaurants and other service companies grow due to the flow of buyers of vehicles driving them home. It's a win win. Tesla actually does allow factory delivery. Some buyers from the east coast will probably pick up their car at the Fremont factory and drive it home eventually in a sort of "migratory pattern".
In a few decades, our bosses at work are either going to be Chinese or Indian. Get used to it. We've sold our country out through our elected officials. It's our own fault.
Dealerships - yeah. That's a problem. How about the 70,000 factories that have closed in this country, over half in the last DECADE ALONE.
They will last once they are replaced once or twice due to excessive noise/hum that customers don't want.
Electricity is unlimited? Where did that science come from? Are you implying Solar irradiance is unlimited? Sure - but we cannot currently capture and store it very well. Where I live, electricity is neither unlimited nor cheap. In California where there is a prevalence of EVs, electricity is some of the most expensive in the country. If someone does not go onto a TOU plan, their EV will cost more than gasoline to drive.
