Because Libor rates are rising and the fund is now currently earning more than the distribution which is reducing the negative UNII. If the trend continues into the spring expect a distribution increase. Same for JRO. Also JQC which changed its charter to that similar to JFR/JRO has already increased the distribution sooner .
Agree way oversold. Been in this since 7/2002 . The market was in a panic and the yield was 5.6% at the time.
Part of the selling is interest rate raise expectations, but, people should not expect that rates will be going over 4% , let alone 5% anytime soon. We look to be in a pattern that we were in the the 1950's.
" most media and they hype it every chance they get"
Yep still hyping the seawall in Marshfield. (Brant Rock). Its been breached without a storm of this size.
" UN stating that climate change is our number one threat in the world."
I'll bet that if we do a survey, people will chose being hot over losing their heads.
".scientists who start with a flawed hypothesis and naturally have a mistaken conclusion. "
It was only a few years ago that NASA discovered that clouds move vertically as well as horizontally. You need all the variables to get it close to being right . Garbage in ... Garbage out!
It just stands to reason that if the planet warms then less fossil fuel is burned and the better electric cars will perform in the northern climates.
What I find amusing, as I sat through 65 MPH winds overnight, is how they can predict all the gloom and doom 20-50 years out but can't tell us the path or intensity of a storm more than 2 days out. Than headline this storm as historic. BTW it is a pussycat compared to the Blizzard of 78! CNN makes a big deal of a breach of a seawall in a low populated area of town when in 78 we had complete homes pushed over 500 ft off their foundations or washed out to sea. Gotta love the sensationalism.
Yes I did. Didn't swing for the fences though. I am managing too many positions in this increased volatility period plus earnings. period. Thank you again !
It is a serious problem ! I hear that using deflated footballs causes the defense to be unable to stop running backs.
Perhaps it is the same source that says the Patriots used deflated footballs!
The best source for info is the company itself. Their guidance has be stellar. Listening to analysts on either side(up or down) is a recipe for losing money.
I have seen stocks rally after the dividend is cut. But they have cut before and after earnings revisions we might be looking at 70-80% payout ratio on a non-gaap basis.
I agree! SCCO is actually coming back a bit. I am not sure FCX is still the largest copper producer after selling the Candelaria mine assets. Anyone else know?
Reddog- apparently it is on your radar! Shows your thinking and it is something to be aware of .
