Relax , this is low volume and simply tracking S and P.

Your cost average is curiously high considering the equity lingered 10% under your average for 40 days or so.

Plus you must factor 19 months of .10-.11.
There is no possible way your not breaking even.

You have received 8k in dividends on the 4k shares, you have gotten something on 26k shares (not disclosed). just your 4k core position is lowering your cost by .26 cents.

when you factor in the dividend on the other 26k shares your likely at least EVEN now.
    @10.61.

You should be happy , not whining about small dips.

Oddly volume is drying up. Looks like a stand off...

Earnings due in 30 or so days, the increase in NAV in Q1 is going to be nice as consolidation happens and fees are reduced.

Not sure why you are talking about "days to cover" that is moot.

I am more interested as to why you DID NOT COVER in the nines???

    GREAT post!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Is determined to ride this unti the 10k is filed.
Fortunately Prospect has done so much better than what it is priced,

The short holdings are actually bullish for longs. 31M shares, and that .11045 is coming due yet again.
Just be patient. There will be numerous posts by traders and short sellers every time there is a down tick.

They will attempt to prey on your fear of loss, creating whirlwinds of FUD.

We need retail to be strong here, not sell and simply collect , collect, collect, collect, reinvest, reinvest , reinvest.

    Have a wonderful weekend, enjoy

it was 1.3 B in Q3, 700M of which was in last week of Q and non contributing to earnings.

Couple this with very few NEW shares as the ATM program was ceased.

Guys , do not fall for the short babble..They had plenty of chances to cover last month

    interesting flip flop.
In May 2014 you touted those running PSEC as "smart".
In May 2014 you claimed PSEC had "put in a bottom" and to "sit back and suck in the dividend".

Today you are chest beating , "down " down",

At what point did you short and when did you plan on covering?

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

We will learn how many shorts covered. There were 30 million shares short as of June 15th 2014.

This could propel us well past 11 if the NYC Hedge fund responsible for much of the damage to the PPS from late March to June continued to hold the position.

My theory is: The majority of the shorted shares are held by a hedge fund, not retail.

If anyone reading this knows the name of the fund shorting please post :-)

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
